England shitted themselves in the tests and placed many fielders on the rope for smarty Pant. Not the case in the first 6 overs in a T20.

9. Sundar

11. Saini

 

This way Kohli has big hitters all around him and he can anchor an innings.

TM won't do something as radical as opening with Pant although I agree with your thought process

Well I have to be realistic aswell. ViRAT is our captain afterall. As a player he was unreal in last 2 T20I ICC tournaments so it won't be fair to chuck him out. He averages over 50+ in this format aswell. 

 

Rohit shouldn't even make it because of his slow start. That's not how you play in PPs although he is better captain than Virat by a mile.

Oh one good news I am hearing is that ICC will allow 18-20 member squad for the t20 wcup due to covid. This allows us to pack our team with whoever we want.. normally in icc events its 15 member squads..

Ashwin chances bleak as per Kohli today

I would like Shami. He is immense if theres life in pitch. Mohali dharamsala. Also we have 5 wks then. Dont think india will pick dk as kishen samson pant rahul already there. I d like Mayank if he plays well in ipl. And kuldeep

My problem with shami is he has a good yorker but lacks variation and bowls a lot of length bowls at death. The tewatia innings was also due to cottrell n shami bowling length bowls at him at death.

Not a fan of Mayank

About kuldeep - ill wait till he comes out of that Moeen ali trauma

Kohli middle over s/r isnt very good and he is not in best of his form, demoting him down wud only make matters worse

Somehow slot Kishan, Pant, SKY and Pandya in the line-up for all 5 matches.  Give them a good go, and a chance for the future to gel.  It is not everyday that you get a 5-T20I series with so much opportunity to test out the youngsters' readiness.  Rest of the team can be rotated.

Ind would need relatively strong batting till #8 ... In the last 3 slots, it can play its best bowlers per conditions

Even Natarajan is not available. Saini is faster but  not too much better than Chahar or Bhubi.

we have 6 bowling options starting with Pandya.  

 

May be you could make a case for Chahal but thats it.
