Like I mentioned in match thread.. I don't get what he did wrong??

He was the most economical and took a very good catch in the field. Why people want his head when we don't have Bumrah,  Shami and even Natarajan??

He dint bowl fast but bowled well.. what is wrong with him playing??

how does he get ahead of Deepak Chahar?

or

England looked a different side with Wood and Archer and we have all 130k trundlers? Unacceptable in this day and age for Indian cricket. we don’t need a guy who breaks down before an important game anyways. Better try Navdeep Saini. If not some new exciting talent. We found Natarajan by chance who knows someone better and long term will surprise.

Thanks to batting :winky: well bowled today though but I can think of atleast 5 other bowlers available who could have had a bigger upside than giving a guy who breaks down every 2-3 games, this kind of great exposure.

Some people here are only obsessed with speed guns. And they believe reading speed guns on screen makes them geniuses and gives then super insights

Bhuvi has declined in ODIs but in T20s and tests (in certain conditions like Eng, NZ, Dharamsala or 2016 NZ/Kolkata) he still adds value. Didn't watch the match, so can't comment on his bowling. But don't be harsh on him, coming back after lengthy injury related layoff, will take a few matches to shake off the rust and enable him to trust his body more. Domestic matches and net practice aren't enough, give him the full series against #1 side now that Nattu is ruled out. Bumrah will always be our first option, Pandya a certainty....to complete the squad we need more pacers, Nattu is a certainty (left arm angle, death bowling etc.), and Saini/Shardul/Bhuvi/Chahar competing for 2-3 more spots. So yeah Bhuvi is definitely no baggage, in this format ahead of Shami, Siraj and most other speed demons.

He is a poor lead bowler. He needs other guys to pick wickets while he does his containing job. And picking wickets is still critical in this format when the opposition starts gathering momentum.

Its all fine as a support bowler but he needs to do more when he is the main seamer.

He is harmless. Doesn’t look like picking any wickets and opposition can score 35 runs easily without taking any risks.

Repeatedly beating bat, lbw appeals and edges does look like picking wicket to  blind speed gun fanatics
