This is how it's done - The "LET'S ALL LAUGH AT MUMBAI !" thread

Yousuf Pathan doesn't play for Mumbai, he plays for Rajastan Royals. As for Rohit Sharma, he has all the traits of replacing Rahul Dravid. Tight technique, man for the hour and ability to strike the ball long and hard. He will come good in the long run. Even Rahul Dravid and Ganguly were highly inconsistent in the first couple of years in ODIs. It's a shame Rohit Sharma hasn't an opportunity to show case his skills in test cricket yet. ODIs are a hit and miss so are the Twenty20s. The true quality of a player is measure in test cricket. I hope Rohit Sharma gets a hit in test cricket, he's definitely marked for special achievements.
He has got enough chances

Dhawan was good last edition. But he has been failing in first class matches as well. I really thought he would come of age after last edition of IPL. But he has been on the downslide since. Having said that 148 was perfectly chasable. They didn't plan the chase very well.
u r a domestic cricket illiterate. dhawan avged 69 in ranji trophy this year

I believe that Rohit excels when the team is reliant on him. He's quite a cool customer' date=' and seems to revel under pressure. His performances in the CB series in Australia [where he helped India win a game with Tendulkar'], his fighting century in the Ranji Trophy final this year, and his efforts in the final ODI in New Zealand when the whole side had crumbled on a green pitch bear testimony to this fact. In the IPL, he is a "senior" member of his side, and last year too, he had a disproportionate amount of burden on his shoulders with the big names in the side not firing. This makes him very special indeed, for not only is he extremely talented, but seems to have that addtional "x-factor" that should help him excel on the big stage. I think he'll do very well for India if Dhoni shows enough trust in him to send him at number 3 in ODIs when Sachin isn't playing [and thus, Gambhir and Sehwag are opening]. Rohit isn't really the sort of guy who'll immediately get going at number 6, but if some added responsibility is placed on him and he gets the chance to get his eye in, then he can make most bowlers look very ordinary.
it was due to the quota-player rohit sharma that we lost the final odi. we lost sehwag due to rohit earlier & then he himself killed all the momentum with a painfully slow 43. sehwag was exploding earlier & if rohit sharma hadnt frustrated sehwag & made him lose his wicket, we would have won

Rohit at least looked technically competent out there. And I'd imagined you'd stop the quota player BS after Rohit's efforts in IPL this year. Maybe you'll once again assert that some patron of his in the BCCI is paying all bowlers [including international bowlers] to bowl bad deliveries to him :giggle:

Cannot laugh anymore .. they are jusr specialised and habitual chokers .. if they dont choke then it can be said they have achieved something but choking practise is part of their pre-match training I suppose :yawn2:
oh hi Mr.(suddenly)my local team needs my support.

Mumbai Indians' repeated fall proves again that the greatest players are not neccesarily the greatest captains
:agree: Sachin is not good as a captain as seen in the last few games as there were many wrong decisions .. Veeru is also not good as a captain though the team is much better than MI .. but both are very good players nonetheless :eyedance:

I think the problem is captains have to think about the team whereas we all know who does SRT think about when is out to bat :wall:

ViruRulez.. soundz like a male version of fineleg.. btw.. do you even know what choking means?
:finger: ok yesterday it was not exactly choking but it was surely fumbling and crumbling ... the MI batting lineup crumbled like anyting when they had pressure to score some runs .. BTW it can also be called choking to some extent because they were choking and losing the wickets to score some runs and to post a decent total :hatsoff:
