Sundar does not fit well as a all rounder, nothing of substance yet bar one/two cameos. Bowling ok but nothing special, Ashwin can still outbowl him. Axar does well with the ball every outing and has batting credentials, can play cameos, decent bat swing and a good timer but has been categorized as lower order bat than a all rounder, contray to the popular belief krunal fits the role better than the rest, can bat anywhere from 3-7 and open the bowling or bowl at death, he has a couple of 3 fors in t20 cricket and a better strike with the bat than axar, jadeja and sundar.

tewatia-jadeja-thakur can be 7-8-9 and with bhuvi at 10, we will have only one no.11 for the wc

None of these bowlers will win any games, what's the obsession with batting deep? Hardik is back at his best, you have iyer, surya, Sanju, pant in the middle order with Hardik the all rounder that his more than enough batting, pick your five best bowlers. Prasidh, umran, bumrah, harshal and jaddu.

Nobody has power game.  Tewatia probably hits sixes more effortlessly. At the end of the day bowling is what matters. If Tewatia scores 30 in 10 balls every 3 matches, he can go for 30 in 10 balls every match

doesn't need to bowl every game. Just on batting he deserves a place

He has to prove everywhere. Last season he was a disaster.

that'll happen only if he plays T20Is . IPL happens majorly in India and UAE only and hes done well in both

In all the matches he made runs Rashid Khan, Miller (who was clearly out of form in IPL for few seasons) also clicked big with bat. It cannot be a coincidence. Didn't have the same consistency in SMAT. Harshal patel was more destructive than him in SMATfor his side. It looks like a big anomaly.

Jaddu, Sundar and krunal are not power hitters.

Axar is a bowler who can bat a bit. Just a bit. He is too malnourished to even consider his shots power hitting.

It's astonishing that there are 13 votes for Jaddu.

There was this guy in the same match making his debut made 25 in 6 balls. That too smashed Lockie Ferguson. Should we back him as well?

has he done it over multiple seasons?

lets select Chennai SMAT guys like SRK instead :nice:

these are best we have unless we go without a spin AR . I will do that

no need for a spin AR in LOIs. go with 1 pace bowling AR (e.g., Paaandu) and proper wkt-taking spinners like Kuldeep.

I hear scraping of the barrel. The talent pool is extremely shallow. Just have to go with the least worst option.

it's even worse. if one is scraping the bottom of a barrel, at least: (1) there are some remnants of material, and (2) there is a barrel. In this case, a better statement is that we are left with thin air.

"These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits, and Are melted into air, into thin air"

@Mariyam might find the unexpected literature reference amusing.
