BCCI should pull Bhuvi from the IPL

Yes new ball bowling was an issue both in English tour and new zealand one and in low scoring matches it becomes even more important to strike with new  ball. New Zealand ran through our side with new ball while we could do nothing till ball was older

People have such short term memories

You are right about the new ball bowling, my comment was about overall bowling, especially the seamers.  We did not score enough runs and got thrashed in the tests on pitches which had only some movement, not anything exaggerated. Bowlers did whatever they could. Having Bhuvi there wouldn't have made much of a difference

Early wicket would 100% have made a difference in New Zealand.  New Zealand scored majority runs with new balls and initial  partnership. If you see the late order runs scored by us and wickets taken with old ball, we were equal to or better than New Zealand. Only difference was no wickets with new ball

More poor batting and dropped catches in England. In n.z toss and conditions.

I have felt since 2018 that he has not been used properly by the tm because with those new ball skills he is a must in places like england and new zealand, his batting ability also a welcome bonus which shortens our tail. However before that tour began properly he got injured playing JAMODIs and has since been in and out of the team while being shoehorned as a LOI specialist which he isn't imo. This rubbish team selection was apparent in Saf too when he was finally picked in the last game. it is a testament to his skill that he has taken to the shorter formats of the game well and added strings to his bow like the knuckle balls while also improving his average speed. If he can remain fit we can do a lot worse than having him around for the test matches in Eengland by the time June rolls around but he will need some match fitness to last 5 days.

Sure.  I was wrong. With Bhuvi, we would have won the test series in NZ like we did in England in 2014. Happy?

Actually all 4 can play with Ashwin as the spinner. The thing is India have to bench two of their Test bowlers at the least - Shami, Bhuvi, Ishant, Bumrah, Siraj, Shardul (For England)

If Hardik is playing as all rounder then Shardul drops off

Ashwin/Jadeja

BOWLER 1 - Siraj

Bowler 2 - Shami

Bowler 3 - Bhuvi or Bumrah

Ishant given his average form drops out to bench.

Help me understand this. In your mind Siraj and Shami are locked and Bumrah can be substituted with Bhuvi?

If the BCCI were to throw its weight and have the Indian stars play only 75% of the matches, the broadcasters would be

And subsequently BCCI's credibility would take a hit and they'd stop commanding the ticket size they command now.

BCCI would *never* do such a thing IMHO.

Not even after reading ICF expert-opinions? Come on ... :-).

Nobody is locked. But in order or priority I will out Siraj and Shami ahead of Bumrah as they can bowl fuller consistently and swing the ball. Bumrah certainly remains in contention but in recent series he looks to be out of gas probably  because of relentless cricket in all formats including IPL.

Bro we lost cause chutiya din't want to play practice games. He din't want to get acclimated. Gill who played well in A tours and Siraj din't get picked.
