Most worryingly: Pant hasn't hit a six during both his half-centuries this season. Before this season, he had 51 half-centuries in professional cricket (all formats) and only one of them involved no sixes.

This shows why DC lost, you either score or give in to the next gladiator . This loss is Thala-style, take it deep and lose.

More than Woakes, Nortje should be in the XI.

Is Nortje still alive?  I saw him in the dugout for the MI match so figured he would be ready to go today.  Ishant did mighty fine so I guess they thought he was a better match up against RCB.

They can bring in Billings instead of Smith to bat at 4 or 5 and he can be used interchangeably with Hitmeyer

Yes billing wud be good and much better then smith. Smith is basically australian rahane in t20s ....yes he is a pressure player but till then he can loose a lot of games.

DC could be 3-3 or just as easily 6-0.  Things even out over time so being 4-2 at this point is about right.

As goes Dhawan, so goes Dilli. Their batting is very feeble. They can't expect to win the cup with this kind of batting. Stoinis could be promoted to 3 to get better value out of him. Smith needs to be benched. Yesterday, he refused to dive for a catch, which he would never do if playing for Australia.

Disgusting inns from Pant.  Feel for Hetmeyer really..  He tried his level best.  Freak inns.  Should get to face more balls from now on.  Also get in Billings.

He played to prevent a batting collapse, and when it was time to step up the scoring, he failed find the boundary. If he had struck a couple of sixes against spin which he faced plenty of, DC would have won with time to spare.

Yep Chahal gave him a few gimme earlier on but he failed to cash in.  In the last over as well if Hetmeyer had got hold of those full tosses of Siraj instead of Pant the game could have been over.  His timing too was all over the place last night.
