With SRH's performance and possible 7 defeats in the next 7 matches - I say cancel it immediately. The Indian team can also properly prepare for the WTC final now.

Yeah send the team to UK now for preparation for WTC final & England tour.  That's more important

Yes it is but Dharamsala is supposed to be at lower risk compared to others.  Big population centres are most dangerous spots in the country.

It was stupid of BCCI to play in Delhi.. I hated the idea right from the start.. Many of my friends have been pretty vocal about that too.. Alas, no commentator/ex-cricketers talk about that.

IPL RESCHEDULES KKR-RCB MATCH SLATE

Why D FOR MAY 3, 2021 AFTER 2 KKR PLAYERS TEST POSITIVE

  • 03 May 2021

Why will any team agree to play against KKR after this?

Who knows who else in KKR might be infected?

How will any other team playing against them feel safe?  Highly doubt International players in other teams will want to continue playing the IPL..

Countries like Australia have closed borders and almost entirely eradicated Covid.. They will be highly skeptical keeping their players in India after the bubble breach..

No way IPL can continue after this.

DC is also being tested for coming in contact with Varun C. He seems to be the source of the infection so everyone who camevin contact are suspect.

If DC is being tested, the punjab team should be tested too.

Effing kkr management.

KKR last played on April 29 against Delhi Capitals in Ahmedabad and the development is bound to trigger some anxiety in the league, which had been going along smoothly so far.

"Now, the DC players will also have to be tested and every member of the team contingents that came in contact with Chakravarthy and Warrier will also be contact traced through the app watch that has been given to everyone," a BCCI source was quoted as saying by PTI.

"The other members of KKR contingent have tested negative but since the second RTPCR report of these two cannot be out before evening, the match couldn't have gone ahead," he added.

PTI further reported that KKR's pace spearhead Pat Cummins revealed the latest development to all the Australian players in the IPL after Chakaravarthy, while undergoing some shoulder scans for a niggle, tested positive for the virus.

They will be labelled as bunch of fools if they are not going to cancel even after this. I just hope players start refusing to play and what kind of scans Varun needed? If it was X-Ray, it can be easily arranged in hotel with portable machines, negligence on the part of BCCI, KKR management and Varun. What's the point of bubble then !

This. I find it hard to believe that Varun would just leave for hospital to get a scan without telling someone verbally. KKR and BCCI are equally responsible if not more so. But the *ers will look for a scapegoat and Varun might be just that for them.

Too many assholes on this forum are rebuking Varun. Get your heads out of your gands and smell fresh air. Chewts just like the baniyas running bcci. Targetting players when everyone is equally responsible.

No hotels to accommodate more than 100-120 people. Here one franchise itself has some 70-80 people - players, staff, their families..plus the officials and the TV crew
