Yeah, but I can't help but wonder whose career Indian team is going to help jumpstart with their penchant for making inexperienced players/part-timers look like world beaters.  Thank goodness, it didn't happen with Cameron Green, but the ghosts of Moeen Ali, Sam Curran and Steve O'Keefe will haunt me forever.  Will it be Rachin Ravindra this time?

Pant Jaddu are good players of spin.  I guess they will go with Ajaz Patel if there is spin..  Otherwise Santner is always there.

Ravindra is the wild card but I don't think they will risk a debut in a final.  NZ strategy works on a certain method.  If things go their way in Eng tests they won't change a thing

All we have to do is include Sundar, Jadeja to counter them. Pant ofcourse.

If India plays to its potential and prepares for n.Z, they would wipe them out.

We lost the 1st test at Chennai vs a mediocre England side and had to prepare dustbowls afterwards to defeat them. Yes we won the series, but it also showed how the captain and coach had zero confidence in their own team's abilities to win on fair surfaces.

Just because the supposed almighty England batting lineup is bang average to rubbish when they don't get to bat on a freaking road doesn't mean the surfaces were unfair.  Rohit had 161, Ashwin had 106, Pant had 101, Sundar had 96 on those same "unfair" surfaces.

Stop buying into the whining Pom media talking points.

Ball was exploding off the pitch from ball one, top surface was crumbling in the first session. That's as undercooked a pitch as we will get. I don't have to rely on what anyone says.

As for peppy scoring runs, well each of them were some of the best batting on such terrible pitches. Rohit's 161 will count among the top 5-7 knocks in India, Ashwin's 100 among the best 100s by a lower order batsman and Pant's 101 among the most audacious ones in Test cricket. But those knock do not make the pitches better.
