The girl cannot even speak in Tamil properly. So much for being tamil. She says "I will eat everthing" but is shown in the subtitle as "I will kill everyone". Maybe they should be banned for not speaking tamil. Not surprising that this stupid thing happens in India. Also what is the new fashion of cursing in movies these days. Soon children will imitate this behavior thinking this is cool.

I&B minister should look into the casual cursing in the video and banning this rather than banning watching cricket through illegal sites. This video makes a connection between rebels and isi. so who is a rebel. just that girl or every tamil that doesn't like some action from the centre. It makes a divide in the viewing public that tamils are different from the rest of India. I won't be surprised if the series is worse than what the TN minister is talking about.

Samantha Akkineni is Telugu film royalty. She is the daughter in law of Nagarjuna Akkineni, quite the head honcho in the Telugu cinema industry. He's on par with Mahesh Babu, Venkstesh and Balayya in terms of pulling power.

 

Samantha was born in Chennai, so she should be fluent in Tamil.

 

Inaccurate subtitle translations have plagued other OTT shows. I noticed the same in Scared Games and Ascharyachakit.

First of all she ain't no idol and secondly your joke is not funny. Regarding portrayal of Eelam Tamil as black woman is consistent with our  own take. Maniratnam cast Nandita Das as biological Mother (From Eelam)  of central child character in the movie Kannathil Muthamittal (6 national awards). A dusky (who said dusky is not beautiful) woman , a dusky daughter. 

 

It reminds me of cultural sensitivity training we get in our company. One such training is where they show pictures  of 3 or 4 people and ask us to tell us  Who do you think can be promoted? (obviously they ask a much better question) to see if we make "assumptions" about people.  Whether we stereotype people.

Most of these things are done by TN cine industry folks themselves. They are not your average fan. Hence my position on the removal of the cine industry both in TN and bollywood. They have too much power and not one good thing comes from them. My question still remains. Where do you get the time to dig out and find so much about tamils.
