Selecting NZ bowling lineup wud be also very hard , its actually harder then picking indian attack.

Southee

Boult

Wagner

Jamieson

Henry

Who do u even drop ?

Obviously Jamieson. He is a home bully so far. Innocuous in England.

But jammu can bat.

Honestly they should drop boult. He has been average for the past 2 years but they won't out of respect.

Jammu wagner southee boult it is.

Henry over only boult imo if they decide to change.

No need for ajaz patel. Although I do believe ajaz will trouble our batsmen mores than any bowler barring souther trundler.

Going to add to the building momentum of pessimism here as I observed minimal shape/swing from our quicks in the HL packages put out by BCCI twitter handle.

They have only shown Batsman middling everything.  Pitch also looked quite slow.  Nothing much to talk about it tbh.  At least it is better than net practice.

Southampton usually doesn't aid swing that much, last two times we played IIRC both times track had more assistance for spin? Unless ECB goes out of its way to make it seamer friendly we should definitely play Ashwin & Jadeja on current form!

Henry won't play.

This incompetent English batting line-up made him look like Dale Steyn

ICC will prepare the pitch & probably will make sure it's result oriented.

I think it will be balanced.

The pitch they practiced on was not Rose bowl one I heard the right next to it Practice ground was used.  See there are little tents type little pavilion there in the video.

According to BBC's weather,

Moderate chances of rain throughout day 1. May lose a couple of hours at the very least.

A few morning showers expected on day 2.

Good chances of rain in the post lunch session on day 3.

Days 4 , 5 and the reserve day look clear. :two_thumbs_up:

2 days of match simulation and the only notable performances BCCI has deemed acceptable to be released on twitter are Gill, Pant and Ishant. :phehe:

Most importantly complete silence from Kohli's vast social media troll army so far, all they have hung onto is a pic of him bowling to Rahul and doing some shadow batting in the nets.
