If you mean project vista then it's purpose is to bring all govt ministry offices at one place and increase the size of parliament to accomodate more MPs. Govt anyway pays 1000 cr per year in rent for ministerial offices. So that expense will go down.

One more thing, do people think PM house wasn't lavish before?

BJP took the easy way out by choosing BSY loyalist & a CM from the dominant Lingayat community... Not sure if Bommai can keep the detractors of BSY happy

Win win..Selecting Bommai means indirectly BSY will rule, also Lingayat community will be happy, and he will take the fall for debacle in next election..For bommai, its a chance to become CM which is unexpected, so he wont be unhappy either.

By keeping their flock together the bjp have ensured they will poll 33% to 36%.

If that happens mostly will be hung.

In 2013 only way cong could get majority cause of split in bjp vote.

Bjp will have under table understanding with Jds. Both cong and jds are bitter rivals in old mysore.

They won't make it easy for cong like they did in 2013

Yup

Modi and Shah tweeted. Yeddy i think will be given Vp to honour his services. His children will be given more say in party affairs.

Many bjp supporters have become too reactionary like the nota brigade.

His silence was discerning for few days, while he was triggered  for UT’s birthday. Can’t explain why the disinterest. BSY was grassroots leader. Just like ABVP sidelined MLKhurana. Kalyan Singh, ModiShah have their fair share of showing indifference towards veterans. BSY was a shakadaari as well. In Kar case, it is detrimental as Congress has a big presence and can comeback like they did in 2013. BSY just showed his regional power in this saga.

As an aside, this was another reminder of what an old hag I am.

I read "Bommai" and thought S R Bommai was still kicking around only to realize that .... it is his son Basavaraj Bommai, who is himself 60+ y.o.
