mishra Posted August 16, 2021 Share Posted August 16, 2021 ^ allmost everyone in Afghanistan is Taliban. You can not subdue them with 5000 American and NATO forces. Its not NATO land. You can easily see that locals are happy that foreign forces are out. The Ghani gvmnt was just helping to spend foreign money in country in setting up various institutions like banks schools police and so on. So Indians should relax. Rest of world(US and UK) are in a position to let locals know that economic pressure will hurt Afghanistan so Taliban will tread carefully now on. mishra Posted August 16, 2021 Share Posted August 16, 2021 (edited) On personal front, Every Afghani I have met, including the one on Pakistani side of Durand line and even highly educated ones, none are unhappy with India and none are happy with Pakistan treating them as dogs. Infact one afghani from corridores of Pakistani power told me, consider us like Irish from Northern Ireland who are only with UK for better personal life. The day he see better Afghanistan, they will switch sides.
