Has Chetheshwar redeemed himself

Get ready to have royal screwed up by this Pujara and Rahane for another year if somehow he is able to save this test against this imbecile bowling attack on placid pitch. Indian fan never learn irrespective of match situation and condition they would ready to suck old jhulela dick of their idol as long as he is making useless contributions (till now).

No not unless he scores a double ton in the 2nd innings. If he gets dismissed early tomorrow and India still loses by an innings then the runs Pujara scored were only good for his personal cause and had no impact on the fortunes of the team

A batsman must score runs when the match is balanced, that is mainly in the first innings. What's the point of collapsing for nothing in the first innings and scoring runs only when the defeat is inevitable.

SRT scored several hundreds in losing cause. One man cannot save a game. All the batters have to step up including Kohli, Pant and Jadeja. That is only way we can save this match. But I agree that Pujara and Kohli both need to score big tomorrow or this match will be over.

This is a flat road. Every tom dick and harry from England made runs here. If he can pull off a Laxman or Dravid then we are talking. Still he has a lot to prove before entertaining the idea of giving him another long rope.

Yeah, but it takes one magic delivery from Clouderson or Robinson to get him out. Duke ball always does something. It may do nothing for a while, then the cloud cover comes in and it starts doing stuff. We saw that today. Contrast that with India where once the the SG ball gets roughed up, you either have reverse or patta.

No. It's not. Bowlers bowled poorly. They showed ball moved 1.9 degrees in second indian innings, more than first innings.

After the first day first session, the ball is and was coming very slowly off the pitch.

The batsmen had enough time to adjust despite some movement.

Only Bumrah has hurried the batters among the 8 pacers on show.

Did you even watch the first 30-35 overs especially when Robinson and Overton were bowling together? Cloudy, dark, both swing and seam. Rohit and Pujara did well to see off that period making ng good use of some freebies on offer

It's opposite. In fact, ball is bouncing more and it has quickened up.  In first innings, Rohit, Rahul, Pujara, Kohli all played very poor shots.

Yes and i agree with @express bowling. batsmen seemed to have way more time to adjust to and play the swing and seam

Our top order batsmen didn't get out because of some big swing in first innings that they couldn't play because of pace in the pitch. Yes there was movement but Rahul-Kohli got out driving a very full ball. Pujara chased a wide ball. Rohit played a lame pull shot.
