Whoever took the decision to leave the tour , should provide a public explanation for the reasons.... No banning reqd... The court of public law will take care of the rest. ..

So far they are using media and other Indian cricketers (retired , not with team) to speak on their behalf. Most of the explanations are incoherent.

What about VC Rahane? What was his say in all this?

If he capt goes then his sidekick goes with him

Shastri too unless he had permission from BCCI to launch his book.

I recall reading somewhere (was it a team insider’s leak to media) that the support staff spent a lot of  time in bars. :hmmm:

Support staff who had spent a lot of time massaging the players from day5 (Shastri positive) to day9 (eve of test start) was tested positive.?That is alarming and cause for isolation at least for a few days of its test team in close contact

No it is not a reason for quaratine if the team is fully vaccinated. I understand team making excuses but others taking up for them is pathetic.

The test was being held from Sept 10 to 14. If the players flew to UAE on 15th, a 6-day quarantine would have meant not being able to play IPL till around Sept 21.

On Sept 19, CSK plays MI (Rohit); on Sept 20, KKR plays RCB (Kohli) - poor scheduling by BCCI. If the test were played, players of these franchises involved in the test would have missed those games. Therefore - The Indian position at the discussion table was taken up by the captain Virat Kohli and senior batsman Rohit Sharma vociferously.

Earlier India had agreed to go ahead with the test despite Parmar's COVID positive result (therefore any point related to physio's COVID or lack of support staff or whatever may not be used). The players were COVID negative. The point cited is that the players got afraid and refused to play (playing in the realm of personal opinions and feelings).

My daughter was exposed to the virus, she had spent time playing with her friend who tested positive. We told all our friends who had spent time with us in close quarters and got tested PCR and confirmed we are all negative after 5 days. We quarantined for a week not meeting anybody. I can totally understand the players who are exposed to a person who tested positive, are feeling tense despite being vaccinated. We all are vaccinated . But jitter to exposure.

Totally twisting facts, players never agreed to take the field. You have gone through Covid, you should understand their position more than anybody else. It was always negotiated when to take field after Paramer tested positive the day before the test.
