Will a morbid Pak raise its sword to beat Ind and NZ in the 2021 T20WC?

Pak will play its usual part in the WC. They will get thrashed by India. They may beat a couple of other teams. They will come close to qualification to the semis but won't make it. They will claim conspiracy to keep them down - some will self flagellate whilst others will claim that ICC bowed to BCCI to prevent their team from reaching the knockouts. Rinse and repeat till the next ICC WC.

Yes, this incident has revolutionised PCB and the Pakistani now, expect them to steamroll any team that stands in their way to the t20 wc title. Sad times ahead for Ind, NZ, WI etc who Pak will easily beat by 200 runs/10 wickets, with Babar/Rizwan scoring centuries every match and Shaheen picking up 5fers every match. The streak will definitely be broken this time:(( My commiserations to any fans who will be rooting for any team other than Pak in this WC

The GOAT t20 all rounder. Can single handedly win tournaments with both bat and ball. Can chip in with keeping sometimes as well. A true cricketing savant

Hafeez has geared himself to play a few impact knocks - can easily hit a 80 odd out of nowhere :afraid:

On paper, Pak is relatively weak. One would be ok with thinking that Ind would win easily (and more likely result). But when such sentiments are high that is when the chances of an upset increase :hmmm:

Some surprising events in the past:

ODIs

Ind beating WI in the final of ‘83

Aus beating Pak in SF of 87

Pak beating NZ twice in ‘92 WC

In 1996, SL surprised but in hindsight it was a superior team to others and in its purple patch

1999 BD winning against Pak

2003 Kenya reaching SF

2007 Both Ind and Pak out in round 1

2011 No major surprises

2015 No major surprises

2019 NZ in final

T20s

2007 Ind winning the T20 WC

2009 No major surprises

2010 Eng winning its first world title (was considered a choker like SA before)

2012 WI beating SL in SL

2014 SL beating a strong Ind

2016 No major surprises
