England's tour of Pakistan (both men and women) called off by ECB due to security concerns

Anyway, On topic. Not a good thing that bilateral agreements aren't being fulfilled of late. India's pull-out of the last test match including.

But if there's a terror threat , then no government would refuse to ignore that threat and neither would they give details to the threat because that might leave some of their intelligence assets at risk. Some of the Pakistani posters need to understand that and get on with it. Their definition of "safe" vs the definition of other countries on what's a safe place  isn't tallying.

One issue that I have with subcon (Ind, Pak, etc.) is patriotism in usually channeled through cricket while many important things, including keeping the region clean and green, take a back stage. There would a tons of irrelevant excuses and logical fallacies on offer.

And this would get the likes of England and NZ to feel the emotions of the Pakistani fans and simply get their teams to come to Pakistan to soothe the "die hard" cricket fans there ?

I'd really like some of what these guys are smoking. Must be some potent maal.

A lot of Pakistanis I know don’t like when an international team is traveling Pakistan Bc it means the whole city has to go on a lockdown while the team is there

Doesn’t take a genius to work out what’s happened here and which group of UK residents is responsible

Either a very sick joke or some sort of revenge trolling

This is sad! The Taliban supporters trying to derail women's cricket is not surprising.

Should be easy to trace where the threat originated from. But totally expect the security agencies to be lenient on the perpetrators for multiculturalism.

The inconvenience caused due to cricket matches in general is a lot. And more so in places like Pakistan where entire cities have to go into lockdown just for one international cricket match. It says a lot about the perspectives and the priorities of the Pakistan establishment and the PCB that they would really look at inconveniencing entire population in a vain attempt at portraying Pakistan as being a safe country for international sport. If there's this much amount of security that is needed, then it clearly speaks that Pakistan isn't a safe country.

Its not a joke, or trolling.

The dangers are nothing to laugh about.

Monica Seles was stabbed by a crazy "fan".  Security issues with "passionate" supporters can very easily become deadly.  Sri Lankan cricketers know this first-hand.

Tbh it’s only the overseas Pakistanis on Sm saying shiz like that. People in Pakistan have their own issues to worry about

In Pak too we did see a meltdown ... Just move on. It is just cricket :dontknow:

I am not saying such things are exclusive to Pak, even in Ind, we have extremists who would proclaim that BCCI break away from ICC at the drop of a hat.

Pakistanis and Indians do more harm to their respective countries than any outside force.

It’s the cricketers. Ask normal people in Pakistan and they are already over it and they don’t care about it anyways
