With the emergence of many Indian pace bowlers in the current edition of IPL, can we finally compete!?

What compete? You're talking as if they have a 80s WI type pace quartet in their ranks lol. Except Shaheen none of their fast bowlers is proper world class. I don't know why garbage bowlers slash blatant chuckers like Rauf and Hasnain get overhyped so much on this site.

Pakistan has not achieved much in either T20Is or ODIs.

We have become a sub-par team in white ball cricket too

So the question of competing after improving does not arise. We will do much better if we improve.

If we can introduce a couple of genuine wicket taking quick bowlers like Umran and Prasidh, we can go up the ladder fast in the shorter formats.

We are getting bowlers but we are somehow not been able to find modern LOI batsmen, lot of them are consolidators

Even the new ones aren't any different

paxtan barring Shaheen have noone even to spare a look, why to hype them

You mean in t20? Mate, honestly problem has never been talent. We have many good fast bowlers since 2015 that often go unnoticed. Problem is the selectors and they will definitely pick 2 or 3 dud batsmen. To conpensate for those dud batsmen, bowling all rounders will be chosen to add depth for namesake over picking premium bowlers inntheb9-11 position. This goes for odi and t20.

Our problem since 2015 has always been batting. Bowling has been top class in all formats. The old facts don't want to retire despite being filthy rich. The selectors are too scared to drop them due to brand name value and marketability etc. It's a a huge problem.

He's found that extra bit of accuracy. Sprague Rauf is a distant memory now

yea he isnt giving runs also much

his death Eco is superb , in PP he may not be an attacking option in many condition but he allows his captain to safely end PP without giving much runs in 4-6th over

middle overs he is super strong. One of the few who is currently executing high pace hard length to its best

Except Umran vs Rauf &,  Sen vs Naseem...  Rest looks accurate

Shaheen Afridi - Khaleel Ahmed
Naseem Shah - Kartik Tyagi
Haris Rauf - Umran Malik
Muhammad Hasnain - Kuldeep Sen
Shahnawaz Dhani - Prasidh Krishna
Muhammad Wasim Jr. - Rajvardhan Hangargekar

This seems a more appropriate comparison because of similarities in bowling style!

Tyagi is tall and bouncy whereas Nasim is short and skiddy.

Prasidh is also tall and very bouncy whereas Dahani is medium height and with a good bouncer.

Only relevant bowler Pakistan i see is Rauf

Naseem Shah is short and not so special

Arey aage vo bahut maar khane vala hai,i won't be surprised if Naseem starts trundling like many of their hyped bowlers have

wow i take back my words on rauf, now im tottally in praise of this guy. One of the best t20 bowlers going around the world currently

Aussie pitches support him. He also played BBL so has experience.

For us Prasidh or Saini could have done similar job.

just not Aussie pitches he has been doing well all around.

Prasidh not a good t20 bowler and saini too

  • Rauf hits the deck hard in middle overs, PRasidh hasnt been doing that which is why he has struggled so much in recent games he played in middle overs
  • Rauf has good variation , saini lacks it and not to forget his beamer problem can put any captain in trouble

Rauf is one the best t20 bowler going around the world , ur talking about who are not even best in IPL

They haven't played much specially Prasidh. Pra.sidh could have learnt it

Ofcourse Rauf is better bowler but he was also mediocre a year or so ago. We have to develop someone like him.
