The NCB had informants and had prior knowledge about the drug bust / rave party. It was imperative to check and possess all their belongings. Unless the police have a suspicion and have prior approval of checking your phone like the Ragini Swivedi case, I don’t think police can ask phones from people on the street look for ganja.

BJP has indeed lost big this time against Shahrukh/Bollywood, but the real looser is Indian State while it is apparent that all non-BJP Indians have lost their trust in the Indian State Institutes. 

 

This episode is going to effect BJP negatively in the elections too.

Anyone smart enough or old enough knows that each & every one of our institutions are prone to influence/pressure from money/power/corruption at various levels! Basically if you aren't a delusional fool you'd know these institutions are already rotten to the core - regardless of party affiliations, the bureaucracy/judiciary & police are all in the pockets of the one in power at center or state

It is true, but still I have this feeling that State institutions were used for personal corruption by other parties. It is the first time that BJP is using them at such extent against political rivals, and Media Houses which don't agree with BJP, and against Bollywood and any celebrity who goes against BJP far right policies. 

 

Even judiciary (at least the lower courts) has also been compromised under BJP. 

 

Such stunts are unnecessary. I just hope that sane people take the reign of BJP, and move it towards the center from the present far right position.

The cruise wasn't a rave party. Read up on the event. Besides, Aryan and a few others were arrested at the docking terminal. 

In the 6 odd months, the NCB took a long time to even file a chargesheet. And when they did, they weren't able to furnish any evidence.

No, I said, it is hard to believe he was only one of the two who didn’t possess. A case like this in the US would have convicted him because he is connected and by association, seen a lot of such cases with celebrities.

Mistakes are made everyday everywhere but making him languish in a cell for so long was totally uncalled for. It's a shame some people were enjoying his misery disregarding what their common sense was telling them.
