Had a good long discussion on this on this thread. Effective cost is 12500 minus savings on cost of petrol minus saving of time roughly 120 min per day. Plus world class infra needs to be paid for. Once the Navi Mumbai airport is up and running this will be life saver. Edited January 14, 2024 by ravishingravi Mariyam

Trucks still prefer NH48 which is cheap but extremely crowded. Last year we had family trip with friends and we booked tempo traveller the driver despite repeated request from me did not take Mumbai expressway and we got stuck in nh48 for 2-3 hours. These hi fi infrastructure is good for publicity , industrialists but common drivers are avoiding it due to high toll ravishingravi

These hi fi infrastructure is good for publicity , industrialists but common drivers are avoiding it due to high toll Two things. Gurgaon Mumbai. And Attal Setu. Completely different projects trying to solve completely different problems. Attal Setu is solving the medium and short term problems along with development of direct connect from island city to mainland. This plus the 9 metro lines plus local will make commute easier and more fun. Ultimate objective is to ease the burden on local train. And people will pay for it. Real estate will boom in Navi Mumbai. Airport will connect faster to mainland. Gurgaon Mumbai is built with 5-10 year timeline. Not will it being down the freight cost but create plenty of business opportunities along the corridor. This is all set up for manufacturing hub we are working towards. Same model as China. First has connectivity and infra in place and then create SEZ.
