I feel bad for Shami sometimes, we wasted him by not playing in the years when he was consistently quick and was picking wickets for fun.

From last 1-1.5 years, he is not as quick as he used to be, and it seems that age is catching up with him. Between 2016-2019 he even used to bowl 145-146 kph with average pace around 140 but now his average pace has dropped to 135 k.

He is still a very good bowler but with the rise of Siraj and Umran I think just like Umesh he should also focus only on the red ball.

People, especially icfers, forget this but he was incredibly consistent from 2014-2019. Bumrah used to keep batsmen shut from the other end and Shami used to take wickets like Siraj is doing today. He may have become old now but there was no reason to drop him two years ago.

That being said, if we are to play a blow hot blow cold bowler it should rather try Umran.

On his day shami has always been good at taking wickets. The problem is on other days and during the death he isnt that great

also, Shami needs some minoxidil/finasteride his bald spot is growing larger game by game:cantstop:

So much money he has. Can't he just get transplant or something? Or shave it bald lol.

just don't bowl him at death. Hes also good in middle overs.

Easily better than Thakur even accounting for latter's batting bonus

The problem is then we have a too long tail Bumrah + Shami + Siraj, if we have to play at least 2 fast bowlers who can bowl death + Shami

Our spinners like Chahal also can't bat which is why we ended up with Jadeja for so long. There are so many selection headaches for our team

Ideally we need someone like Jofra Archer but they dont grow on trees

indecisiveness, no clarity, no short term, no longterm plan it has been trademark of Ind team in last 2-3 years.

No one knows what are they doing, here is no rational to their decisions.

They wanted to phase out Shami from white ball 2 years back but now he is in starting 11. Dravid seems to have no idea on Split captaincy, future of Kolhi on T20Is.

What was the reason for selecting Chetan Sakaria, selecting Mukesh Kumar, selecting Mavi, selecting 16-18 member squad for 3 match Home/subcontinent series. They needed a lAF 6 months back now its no concern.

Before T20I world cups they wanted to focus on SR and in WC they were playing dot balls for fun. They needed batters who could bowl and bowler who could bat, but now there is no such requirements.

What was the point of dismantling selection committee and then reselecting Chetan Sharma again as the chief.

people like Partidar and Tripathi are just traveling with the team and not getting a game.Announcing multiple teams at once without retrospective on previous series -All this is beyond reasoning.
