A loss is sometimes better than winning and then losing in the semis. This performance will probably spur the BCCI to look ahead to the future little seriously.

For sure , 3  win against Minnows with quite poor bowling and no pressure doesn't prove anything

India is top 3 heavy and middle order and lower order is terrible

Best teams bring their top bowlers up front  -  Afridi / Starc / Boult / Norkije /  Hazelwood   - India's top order has failed against top bowling and the middle and lower order cannot sustain them

Might as well go out from this T20 and focus on building the team and aim for T20 wc 2022

Totally agree. I know there is heartbreak reserved for tomorrow, but this is good if used well in the long term.

Even in the first 1975 WC - NZ and India met for a chance at Semi spot 1-1, both having lost to England and won against East Africa.

Even then a Richard Hadlee bowling off of a long runup ran through the order until a 70 or something by Abid Ali. Then Glenn Turner (like Kane Williamson today) took NZ to a win and a Semi vs the Windies.
