Naah...Punjab without Brett Lee is not very good (he got a wicket, kept the bowling tight, and affected a runout - so quite a valuable asset). Chennai's heros today (as in previous games) were from overseas and they will depart soon (Hayden, Hussey, Oram)...but they can still pull through to the semis...but I reckon their run stops there I see Deccan, Rajasthan, Delhi and Chennai to go through...Delhi winning it all
The Daredevils arent as good as they seem now. I still think they have some fundamental weaknesses in their team. Their batting is top heavy, with their top-guns all coming in the top-3. Besides, Asif and McGrath may look a world beating combination right now, but as we have seen many times already in the tournament so far, if you arent 135+, you can come in for serious tap. And for me, its not DC thats the most under performing team, but the Punjab Kings. I cant believe they lost their first two matches. I wont be surprised to see them even go on to win the tournament.

Chennai Superkings, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Daredevils and Punjab Kings. Deccan will finish 5th & Kolkatta 6th. Chennai's biggest trump card is Dhoni. He is a winner, he will figure out a way to keep winning, even after Hayden, Hussey leave for their national duties. Rajasthan has shown an ability to win without any superstars. Their international stars (Smith, Watson, Warne) are all performing and will stay with them thru out the season. Plus they have match winners such as Yusuf Pathan, among their regional players. Delhi is a slightly bowling heavy team. Their middle order is their weak link. But given Gambhir's consistency, that risk is addressed to an extent. Veeru will be mostly hit & miss, cant count on him, game after game. But I reckon they are better than atleast 4 other teams to make the semis. Punjab has a very good team. Even after Lee goes, Punjab has enough quality in its ranks (Pathan, Yuvraj, Sangakarra) to come thru. Unlike other teams, that have a few stars & 5-6 bits & pieces regional players, Punjab has many players with international experience. Infact as many as 8-9 of their players have played for their country. Once Kolkatta loses its international stars, they will become a very ordinary team. Infact the rest of the season, will be hard for them. They will struggle to win consistently from here on & wont make the semis. Deccan's chances will depend heavily on Gilly & Gibbs from here onwards. Atleast one of them must fire every game for them to keep winning. Deccan's biggest problem is their regional players. They dilute the power of their stars. For this reason, they wont make it to the top four even if their stars fire regularly from here on. Between Bangalore & Mumbai, we've got two teams ready to fill Pakistan's 2009 calendar when the Aussies refuse to tour them next year. Tendulkar, Bhajji or not, Mumbai team is cr@p. Jayasuriya looks senile & this Ronchi guy, seems a waste of space. Thats two international players, Mumbai is guaranteed to play every game. Abishek Nayar is the lone star. The lad is likely an IPL millionaire in the making. He also comes across as the most compelling young batting talent after Rohit Sharma. Need to see more of him, in the other formats of the game. Bangalore Bondas always saw IPL as a pension plan for test match players. Cant fault them for not performing, they were never meant to, in the first place.
