What intimidation? I have never seen shaheen bowl an intimidating bouncer. He is more of a yorker and I swinging specialist. He is obviously a top quality bowler who is top 3 in the world but He doesn't have an intimidating bouncer.

So you finally admit that he is top 3 in the world.lol

From being worse than Siraj to top three in the world didn't take much time.

I wish you had the same resolve, enthusiasm and confidence in some of our own.

not calling you a packy though. I don’t think you are. Your ability to string sentences together and articulate your thoughts is a giveaway that you aren’t one but there seems to be some extra zip to you when it comes to packy players and Kohli, I do believe you are part of the network now.

Cummins would have got that award but Aussies played little test cricket this year so there's that.   Even in the Semi final vs Aus..  I think Shaheen delivered a fiery first over.

Credit to Aussies they didn't lose more than 1 wicket in that 1st over.  That over was top draw.

Across all three formats..  I don't think there is one bowler who out performed him last year.  Perhaps that's the reason ICC went for him.  Hazelwood/Boult were better ODI bowlers but didn't play much T20's.  Boult was shambolic in Test format.

In short formats yes. In tests not yet.

Rankings can change. I had jammu at 3 but after seeing him bowl on flatter decks in India, I changed my mind. Next time he tours india, he might even quit midway through the tour. Very poor stamina.

But no I wouldn't put shaheen above bumrah or shami in tests. He has a long way to go. He is atm on par with guys like ngidi. He was exceptional in Asia vs some average sides. He performed well vs saffers. Now he needs to prove himself vs Aussies pommies and Kiwis since they don't play us.

BTW varat is no longer part of Indian ATG teams according to most analysts. Don't shoot me. Just the messenger.

He is closet Pakistanis. Most kohli supporting wankers are either Pakistanis or Indian sycophants who try to pander to the padosi.

Kelaaa lol got obliterated by shaheen.

Thinks he is an opener. Leftie tall and fast is swinger is our Kryptonite. But somehow our moron management still won't play a leftie and open with pant or kishan Lel. Whattaaa coach. Wataaaa management.

TBH that ball would have got any top order batsman out, let alone Kela Rahul :giggle:

It swung late at pace...very tough to handle...especially from that angle.

Aaron Finch got the same bowl from Shaheen in Semi Final and he couldn't do much either.

So shaheen is already being held down because "cummins is better". Obviously he is, but let's also ignore that Cummins emerged in 2011, while Shaheen did so in 2018.

This is like saying Williamson is better than Babar.

As a young bowler in tests you need to learn the bowling culture and mentality from the seniors, but that was missing because up until the NZ tour, Shaheen, who was still finding his way in first class cricket would be the only wicket taking threat. He would look confused, bowling good spells but missing the art of taking wickets. Also, there would be no pressure from the other end after Abbas's new ball spell.

However,  his performances have picked up ever since Hasan has been brought into the side and has started taking wickets.

This has been very clear from the 2nd test at home against South Africa where he bowled a hostile spell to win the test. He built on this with stellar performances against the Windies, Zim and Bang, which I am sure you guys dont count.

But anyways, a month ago performances against South Africa didnt count, but now I am sure they do. Who knows, a month or so later performances against West indies might also start mattering.

Regardless, Shaheen is upwardly mobile and fast transforming into a fast bowling leader. His ascent to the LQ captaincy position will help him evolve further.

With that under his belt, a match winning performance againt India, and being acclaimed as the best cricketer in the world, I see him taking a lot of wickets against Aus, because he now believes that he has become a global star, which was missing in the past.
