Buddy, don't wait for things to happen. Take the plunge :thumb: ... People have doubted unconventional batsmen like Sehwag (many though Jaffar was better for e.g.), Dhoni (many though Karthik was better), etc., unnecessarily. You do not want to be in such a group!

PS Note Yuvi made his debut in 2000, then clicked big time in 2007 T20 WC and 2011 ODI WC. Below was Yuvi in 2003 WC v key teams:

Primary team India
Opposition team Australia  or England  or New Zealand  or Pakistan  or South Africa  or Sri Lanka  or West Indies
Start of match date between 1 Jan 2003 and 1 Jan 2004
Trophy World Cup
Batting position between 1 and 7
Ordered by batting average (descending)
Overall figures
Player Mat Inns NO Runs HS Ave BF SR 100 50 0 4s 6s
R Dravid 6 6 3 225 62 75.00 329 68.38 0 2 0 16 1
SR Tendulkar 6 6 0 300 98 50.00 327 91.74 0 3 0 34 3
V Sehwag 6 6 0 197 82 32.83 210 93.80 0 2 0 23 7
Yuvraj Singh 6 5 1 121 50* 30.25 139 87.05 0 1 1 11 1
M Kaif 6 6 1 128 68* 25.60 238 53.78 0 1 1 14 0
SC Ganguly 6 6 0 103 48 17.16 144 71.52 0 0 1 8 3
D Mongia 6 4 0 66 32 16.50 123 53.65 0 0 0 6 1

Aus backed many of its players to win the T20 title for the first time. Sometimes we need to show patience with rare talent.

Really hope so. His extravagant lifestyle is worrisome but we shall see.

I want him to do well.

His lifestyle is his business. We should focus on his big hitting abilities in cricket

It is indeed. Just hope he doesn't let money get to his head and ruin his career like many have done so in the past. As long as he is performing I don't care If he karr key aya's in front of live audience.

Does @zen baaba predict the return of legend SDP to Indian team? :afraid::afraid:

I am biased here but will tell that SDP is most likely to rock at IPLs esp. in India. An unlucky team will be slaughtered by him sooner or later. There is no way India can afford to not play its key impact player. SDP needs to be batting in the top 4 and given more responsibilities to make an impact. Got wasted against Pak where he came in around the 19th over and with Ind in dire position at 48/4 v NZ. Bat him early to take on the bowlers, which can make it easy for other batsmen too :thumb:

PS Let’s not forget that the next T20WC is in Aus where SDP was MoS in T20s and highest scorer for Ind in ODIs, averaging over a 100!

Can anyone call BCCI and ask them to drop Jadeja permanently from Indian t20 team as the simple rule to success is picking 5 proper bowlers and one impact all rounder who can bat anywhere between #1-6?

anyone, including you, can try to call them. they have a publicly listed number, I believe.
