Let’s not be fooled- if the tour is cancelled. Kohli and the rest will be jumping with joy- more time to spend relaxing with families and advertisement shooting and shopping. They are secretly hoping not to play in another bio bubble

Countries are panicking now, can you imagine in another few days what it will be like.

Tour will be cancelled.

Yes, this variant is more dangerous than any previous one , not only it spreads rapidly , it probably is resistant to the current vaccine .  Tour is all but cancelled . Damn , is was really looking forward to the tour. Pfizer is already talking about another dose of a modified vaccine to cover this. I already had 3 dose of pfizer vaccine, one more , hope not .

No.

Australia is an island and easier to control who comes in and out of the country.

Ashes will go ahead.

It depends on how tight the quarentine is for England. Players want their families with them. Many have young kids

Good thing this tour isn't happening. It's a bit of a blessing in disguise.

Our batting with Rohit, Kohli, Pujara, Rahane would have been heavily exposed here and our bowling with the likes of Axar Patel and Ashwin would have been decimated which meant Bumrah and Siraj would toil for hundreds of overs and break down in between the tour.

BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal on Tuesday said India's tour of South Africa remains on schedule provided the situation doesn't aggravate in the rainbow nation after a new COVID-19 variant was detected there.

"We stand with them (as they deal with this threat), the only thing is we won't compromise on players' safety. As of now we have a chartered flight going to Johannesburg as scheduled and players will be in a bio bubble," Dhumal said.

On the possible change of venues within South Africa to deal with the threat, Dhumal said: "We are in constant touch with the Cricket South Africa officials.

"Whatever best we can do to not compromise the series we will try and do but if situation aggravates and if it compromises our players' safety and health, we will see.

"In the end, whatever is the Government of India advisory, we will abide by that," Dhumal said.

South Africa's foreign ministry has also assured that a "full bio-secure environment" will be created for the Indian cricket team during their tour starting next month, comprising of three Tests, three ODIs and four T20s.

problem would be our batting yes. Always has been our batting overseas.
