Here is the difference a stats padder has enough talent to play unselfish knocks and match winning knocks because they are in control of the game, that’s where the stats padding talent comes from. The rest who depend on 1-2 flukes Cant stats pad to save their lives and hence we see terms like unselfish cricketer etc when the world rates them as mediocre. I was saying is if someone has the ability to pad stats they are usually in control of the game. Sure, they need an attitude adjustment but it’s not that easy, even the most “unselfish” player wants a 60+ batting average and a bowling average under 20.
