'Utter disrespect': Twitter enraged at BCCI, Ganguly for 'sacking' Virat Kohli

Respect for Kohli

  1. 1. Was sacking of Virat the ODI captain done disrespectfully by BCCI/Ganguly?

    • Yes, a player of such stature cannot be sacked as captain. He can only be convinced to relinquish his captaincy but not fired from the position.
    • The BCCI is right in its decision. However, they could have been more professional like informing him ahead of time and thanking him for his services etc.
    • No, BCCI is not disrespectful in any way but completely justified in its action. In fact, this action is already 2 years overdue.

There are fans who may not be qualified as " Kohli fans", but still feel enraged at the treatment meted out to him.

BCCI seems to lack "Real men" in their ranks as what is evident

As neutral fans, this is not what we want to see..one of the greatest test cricketer India has produced and the most successful Test Captain as well treated like this.

His work ethic is 2nd to none, and his commitment and zeal for the game is worth celebrating.

While BCCI never had a good image, its time they  hand over to professional's like they did for the  IPL product.

His toxicity is also second to none. Infact at this moment his cons far outweighs his positives which has largely reduced over the years. No neutral fan can be a fan of Kohli the captain unless they have lost their mind because the politics that he has played at times far surpasses Dhoni or Azhar without any good result.

Try and put everything on Rohits head and then we will see who does what.

Virat needs to be celebrated.

He has given his best for the game and the country(not bcci i suppose), and that fact needs to sink into todays attention deficit kids.

India has long suffered mediocrity , and looks like the story will continue for some more time

Test match is never easy, Rohit will soon find out...the day he (or whoever) is given the captaincy role

Kohli actually has been a pretty mediocre Test captain. It's his good fortune that India have produced decent bowlers both home and away during his time but he continued to make wrong selections and underachieved inspite of having all the resources that one can hope for. He played Dawan over Mayank when the latter was in the form of his life for three years in a row. He played Ishant at every opportunity over others who is nothing but a utterly glorified okayish bowler. He continued to retain Rahane while his performance was poor for last 3 years. Most important he acted as a petulant child when Kumble was the coach and disrespected him to get a bootlicker bewda instead. Hope you have clocked enough days to know that Kumble is a far bigger legend of Indian cricket than Kohli and the treatment that Kohli dished out to him needs to be paid back with interest. It was Kohli's good luck that a proper cricketer with a proper political acumen was not the board president earlier, otherwise he would have been put in his place long back. What you are seeing is only Ganguly among the ex cricketers could have done that as Dhoni and Sachin are too brand conscious and Dravid , Kumble are through gentlemen. This is the first time Ganguly has done something right after becoming board president, this was the reason he was appointed which is to clean up the mess created by Kohli's madness and mediocrity.

His arrogance and cockiness leads to his downfall. If he doesn't fall in line soon he will be thrown out if test captaincy. How come Hahane, Gujara and Ishant played series after series without any performance , if he will continue to support them and loose sa tour he will be kicked out from test captaincy as well. There is a saying if you are in deep **** don't open your mouth.

Everything you have said is  right but kumble is an atrocious coach period, being great player doesn’t make you great coach.look at the current condition of Kings Eleven Punjab. It’s not just  Kohli many players have complained about him

See, that's possible that Kumble would have been a failure as coach but the manner in which Kohli got him replaced was wrong.

He is finished if he is little bit serious about his game .He should have played Ranji  to hone his spin playing ability rather than jumping around .Many good players can come back but not  the arrogant prick  even Sachin had played  some domestic games when he started to decline.

What treatment was met out to him exactly? He was even asked to gracefully announce his own retirement from ODI captaincy and he is the one who didnt

He treated legends like Kumble way way worse. What goes around comes around

No need to be rejoice .everything goes around comes around.those who are jumping for Rohit, klrahul their time will also come.Nobody remember them .for Kohli even if he hang his boot right now he will be remembered as great batsman.he has more test hundreds than players like Sehwag, vvs,Ganguly,Azher etc

Who cares about personal achievements in a team game? At the end of the day it only matters how many trophies you’ve won.

Who remembers how many runs one has scored in T20s or ODIs? All here are discussing his pathetic captaincy and not his individual records. He can shove his individual records up his nether hole…

The guy has become toxic and was not able to get his team motivated…

One loss to Pak in ICC event can be excused but not multiple losses. The last loss broke the camels back…

His “Wokeness” too helped getting him sidelined slowly and steadily… No matter how much you try to discount it.

This is what kohli should do now;

Sing songs like this with immy khan;

I just upgraded, you expire (Ice, ice)
Mai mehnat’an nay kitiyan in silence (Oye)
We be pulling up on stage like sirens (Oye)
I’m original warrior no ISIS (I-I-ISIS)

Kphli the nakli Indian should play for pakistan.

'Utter disrespect': Twitter enraged at BCCI, Ganguly for 'sacking' Virat Kohli

  • Many took jibes at its president Sourav Ganguly for 'sacking' Kohli and more so for doing it without any mention of his accomplishments or acknowledging that he's achieved as captain.

The news of the BCCI replacing Virat Kohli with Rohit Sharma as captain of the ODI team was received with mixed reactions on Twitter. While some fans welcomed the decision, others were simply missed with Kohli's termination as captain. Moreover, what irked the fans further was the manner in which the information was revealed, with the BCCI simply putting out a tweet saying, "The All-India Senior Selection Committee also decided to name Mr. Rohit Sharma as the Captain of the ODI & T20I teams going forward."

It is not known whether Kohli made the call or the BCCI took the decision for him. But that didn't stop fans from bringing out the daggers on the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Many took jibes at its president Sourav Ganguly for 'sacking' Kohli and more so for doing it without any mention of his accomplishments or acknowledging that he's achieved as captain. As speculations grow as to why was the decision taken and who was responsible for it, here are some of the tweets reflecting the public's disappointment with the BCCI.

In October, ahead of the start of the T20 World Cup, Kohli had tweeted that he was going to step down as India's T20I captain after the ICC tournament, but clearly mentioned his intention to continue in ODIs and Tests, perhaps harbouring hopes of leading the team at the 2023 World cup at home. However, the fact that Rohit was already appointed T20I captain, having both him and Kohli leading two different limited-overs sides is what could have let to the decision.

Dada kabhi bhoolta nahi. Dada hai yaaro ka yaar. Dushmano ka Dushman. Dada waits and then he strikes.. kumble ke saath kya hua tha yeh tum bhool sakte ho Dada nahi Bhoolta.. kumble ka karz, 5 saal dada ka kaaptani main jitna jeet kumble ka badaulat hua.. uska karz.. you can mess with anybody but not ganguly.. from a quota player in 1996 to the captain of indian cricket team to be ousted by chappell and then making a roaring comeback.. from being reliever by kkr to becoming baap of bcci.. bigger star than bollywood..

Ab tu argument mai ~~maa ki saadi~~ wokeness ghuseda to hum log kya bol sakte hai

Belive it or not most indians are not angrezi slaves using terms created by racist whites like wokeness. Even if you really really wish it to be true, slave mentality like yours is still rare in India
