According to NBT, collections dropped 15% per day this week, so by next week's end it will die down with daily collections being 4-5cr and going down ...the report from yesterday says it will cross 200 cr... but 500 cr required to be called a hit is an unachievable dream as the budget itself is 400cr.

Collection always drop 2nd week and more in 3rd week and pick up in the weekend. It will die down around 250 but such films keep earning from overseas and soon it ll look at china which is the market that makes a difference.

On 30th ps-1 and vikram vedha are releasing so automatically most screen will be taken.

A film with that budget will always need satellite , OTT to cover cost. Even RRR needed extra which came from OTT , satellite to make profits.

KGF budget was most in control so they were the ones in massive profits . Baahubali 1 , KGF 1 were another . Even pushpa had to rely heavily on OTT and satellite. Pushpa to will earn its heavy share with sequel

At the end everyone knew brahamastra will make minor profit but even it covers the cost making 2nd part will be easy and its the sequel that will be a huge hit but then again need to control cost

And collection increased in the weekend. It has one more weekend. At least 11 days before next big release. If it were up to me. I will get the film back on iMax and 3D version after first week of Vikram Vedha. People are mostly interested in going to 3d and IMAX. It can keep going in those. Kids and families have been the biggest audience. Footfalls are already 1.3 cr in 9 days. Will cross 200 cr India net tomorrow. Lifetime will be 275 plus. Global lifetime 150.

Nah. It's 250 that's why most biz analyst even BOI has declared the film a hit as it's definitely going to hit 250 cr.

All the while, the producers told the budget was 450 cr and then 100 cr on promotion. Now to declare a hit, they reduce the budget to 250. Aise kaise hoga? Good if it’s a hit. Wtf cares. I wail watch it on ott

I am actually waiting for adipurush, India's first live motion movie, the budget is going to be 500 cr, Mahabharata and shaktiman will release by 2024 they say, then Nagraj and dhruv if response to shaktiman is good,i feel only actor that can do justice to shaktiman is adivi shesh and not ranveer singh or Kartik aryan, Nagraj is either Hrithik or john dhruv only vidyut jamwal ,heard either immortal of meluha or completely new movie on lord shiva along with Mahabharata will soon see light the budget is 700 cr by feroz nadiadwala

P/L equation is for the producers … For a run in cinemas, one should ideally judge a film based on ticket sales

Say ticket price = 100

Film A’s budget = 100 cr, Films revenue = 300 cr, ticket sold = 3 cr

Film B’s budget = 500 cr, Revenues = 500 cr, ticket sold = 5 cr

What difference does it make to fans if producer of A made more money than producer of B. Public liked B more in terms of ticket sales.

To judge the performance of a film in cinemas, the metric should ideally shift to ticket sales (let the producers worry about their P/L)

PS of course, there are other revenue streams as well besides the run in cinemas (therefore the producer has options)
