he is going to try and shoot for martyrdom when they ask him to give the test captaincy up too. you can see the headlines already that we don't deserve the GOAT test captain for the way we are treating him. i hope when that time comes it is a graceful handover.

But if he retires from T20I format, it looks awkward if he plays IPL, right? If he is really serious about rediscovering his batting touch, Kohli should skip the IPL and focus on test and ODI format.

Now that he's neither the India LOI captain nor RCB captain, his value as a IPL player will soon go down drastically.

On rediscovering his batting form, only way he could have done that is by relinquishing captaincy. By selfishly clinging on, he's only putting his career on the line. Another 6-8  months of decline and his career may well be over.

Hope we don’t have to resort to chemo damaging overall immunity and risking our recovery.

Problem started when Ganguly tried to sugarcoat the firing after backlash from Kohli's PR gang. Something we could have avoided. Chetan sharma is releasing this statement to save Ganguly's face as people are polarized on this issue.

Ganguly 'lied' because he wanted to spare Kohli the humiliation of being fired. He wanted it to look like Kohli quit honourably and wasn't thrown out. BCCI were well within their rights to sack Kohli and most neutral Indian fans preferred Rohit as white ball capt anyway.

But it was Kohli who unnecessarily started the whole controversy with his stupid PC. He had nothing to gain from it and spoiled his relationship with the BCCI. Vested groups in the media latched on to it and stoked the fire.
