Novak Djokovic's Australian visa cancelled

With all the lies he's told, it probably doesn't matter any more if he is vaccinated or not.

He probably got the boot on "character" grounds. And that is totally fair. Every country has the right to decide who comes into their country and the circumstances under which they can come :hatsoff:

Now, he won't be able to enter the country for another 3 years.

Logically, court will again rule in his favour. If even double vaccinated are getting infected then it just doesn't matter whether you are vaccinated or not. It's just logical.

So, courts clear him on procedural grounds. And govt overrules the court decision to cancel the visa. What an embarrassing situation for the govt ?

Embarrassing it maybe. But in big scheme of things, doesn't mean much.

The consequences are far more serious for No Vaxx.

Australia should go one step further.

They should throw anti vaxx pests in jail. And than throw the keys away. What say, vamos_retard?

You'd fight right in with your buddies. You can exchange notes, you'd have plenty of time for it. Between your "guess who has what genetalia" games

Actually in bigger scheme of things this should worry any Australian citizen.

A court verdict giving the player clean chit and approving his case against the govt was essentially overturned and overlooked by the govt.

No fan of Novac's antics here, but if State granted the Visa and was further confirmed by the court, I dont know what more can be done.

This is face saving move that will have implications much beyond Djokovic. Gives a whole new context to the term "Kangaroo court".

Totally agreed. They could have avoided the whole mess by not allowing him in the first place.

But I think No Vaxx has been so deceitful and told so many lies, most people want him booted out of the country on "character" grounds.

Don't blame them to be honest.

“Mr Djokovic’s presence in Australia may pose a health risk to the Australian community, in that his presence in Australia may foster anti-vaccination sentiment leading to other unvaccinated persons refusing to become vaccinated, other unvaccinated persons being reinforced in their existing view not to become vaccinated, and/or a reduction in the uptake of booster vaccines,” Mr Hawke wrote.

“There is evidence to suggest that Mr Djokovic has, in the past, shown an apparent disregard for the need to isolate following the receipt of a positive Covid-19 test result.

“Given Mr Djokovic’s high profile status and position as a role model in the sporting and broader community, his ongoing presence in Australia may foster similar disregard for the precautionary requirements following receipt of a positive COVID-19 test in Australia. In particular, his behaviour may encourage or influence others to emulate his prior conduct and fail to comply with appropriate public health measures following a positive COVID-19 test result, which itself could lead to the transmission of the disease and serious risk to their health and others.”

Well done Australia. I 100% agree with their view.

Since Djokovic believes so much in nature and not science/ technology then walk from serbia till paris on feet given to you by nature and then play in French open.
