I6MTW Posted January 15, 2022 Share Posted January 15, 2022 Pretty soon every country in the world will make vaccination mandatory to travel, if they haven't done it already, all these anti vax tennis players, or anti vaxxers in general better get vaccinated quickly or they will have to stay home for the rest of their lives. Even in India, the national and state governments are making it mandatory for people to be vaccinated to go out and visit places. If the entire world agrees upon a universal mandate or solution, there is nothing to be questioned, it has to be adhered to for the time being , for now it is the only solution until a better alternative comes up. No one enjoys taking vaccines every single day, but taking a couple a year in order to reduce the effects of a virus on a larger population should be doable for every individual. People have been taking shots and vaccines since the time they were born for various other causes such as polio, chicken pox, MMR, etc, how is this any different? You can argue the effectiveness of it(especially in preventing COVID), since it has been developed in less than a year's time, but it has helped in reducing the severity of the disease and the hospitalization of people in large numbers, as evident in comparison to the second wave last year in India. First, it was taking the vaccines in exchange for movement freedom and no need for masks. Then what happened. People really need to start looking at the wider picture outside of the vax/anti-vax debate. There have been various laws/legislations that have been passed under this covid 'emergency' which I can bet will never be repealed. More and more of the average citizen's life is going to be controlled and monitored with the advent of carbon tax etc. Society has been divided to such an extent that there is no risk for governments to come up with more draconian measure knowing full well there is never going to be consensus to rise up against them, what with the media controlling what people think & how they act. If he's anti vax, fair enough, he should have never boarded the flight to come play. Simple as that. End of story. Regarding the courts, did the judge know that Novax lied? Had the full facts been available to the judge, I have no doubt in my mind that the judge would have upheld the original decision to boot him out on the country.
