He will not be another MSD since such players in ODIs are once in a generation. His chasing game is problematic, but his 1st innings batting is good. middle order batting may not be his forte - should be tried as opener. middle order players need to be more calculating.

More than the lack of ability it is the lack of game sense.  Inidia should be open to the option of having KL as keeper like we did in 2003 world cup. Kishan is another option. But he is more a dasher who can look like million bucks up the order. But he can go missing from time to time something we should be prepared for. If you want infallible top 7 then they have keep this option open.
