That's a bad expectation to begin with; the whole point being made here is, we're free to procure & use Russian weapons to defend our borders or further our strategic objectives. This doesn't always work out well with American or some European weapons with or without American components. One thing history has taught us is never trust anglo govts be it US, UK, etc. They say one thing today and use bottle caps to reverse swing the ball tomorrow. Just ask Ireland, native americans, first people of Aus, black americans etc not to mention our own land being ruled for 2 centuries by divide and conquer. mudiji makes good chai. he is right on this front just staying home and making a cuppa for himself and watch this shitshow play out. Aircraft carriers & what not. Not to mention we are still heavily dependent on them for defense imports which is a worry in itself. India is actually looking after its long term interests. US and West has decided to give India room to manoeuvre between US and Russia on sticky issues ie serve its own interest. Basically we have been told our position doesn’t matter. i am happy that India is not under likes of Nehuru and not taking it as ego thing.
