Babar Azam v Rishabh Pant - who is better test batsman?

I wouldn't play pant at 4, given his unpredictable nature. But pant at 6 offers excellent value, whereas babar needs to step up to justify no.4. If he still averages early 40s after next 2-3 years, he'll be considered a flop

babar being a fairly attacking batter is better suited for no. 5 when the ball has become old. Pak's best test batter as of now should play at no. 4 - Fawad Alam.

Virat is still ranked number 5 in test cricket and the highest ranked Indian batsman.

Lol at the other batsmen, can't even take over Kohli in his worst days.

That's because Kohli, Pujara and Rahane are the only test batsmen that have played nearly all Indian tests in the last 3-4 years.

Rankings drop considerably if a player misses a series. Jadeja would have broken into the top 10 if he hadn't missed so many matches.

What's stopping other countries Batsman from overtaking him?

Similarly Sharma who is supposedly in his best form as a test opener is still behind Kohli? What kind of a peak is this?

As for Rahul, he is not consistent enough to get into top 5, there's very less chance of him ever entering top 7 let alone top 5.

I would be very surprised to see KLR break into top 5 and more importantly stay there for a while: his biggest issue is inconsistency

Test top 10 rankings are dominated by players who play regularly. That's why you see someone like Babar Azam still hanging in the top10 despite being below par.

Jadeja has better test batting performances than BA (& even our trimurti) over the last few years but cannot break into the top10 due to missing multiple series.

Pressure of 1 billion vs literally no one gives a * about Aussies or Kiwis if they win the WC because the fans really don't care. In saying that first stop the sir culture. Just staphh lol.
