  1. 1. Is DK the best T20I finisher that India got?

    • Yes, he is and should be in playing XI
    • No, there are much better alternatives
    • He is good but he does not add up to the team composition

Those conditions were more flat than tough, but yes, "KKDK" is a wasted talent.  He could have reached ABDV heights - a lot in common - both were 'keeper bats who played as specialist bats often - just that DK was never consistent and lost his spot to Dhoni and others.

Dhoni has caused more problems in the long run than any other great for us in red ball. Dude was never fit to be a test captain. Average test player too with limited skills.

Great in odi. Dhoni was a very poor t20 player too.

Yea with DK I agree. Not sure about AbD level but he could have been a good player in test cricket. Such a shame.

DK getting worked up and throwing away his wicket against the run of play is something we have all seen. It does seem to be his nervous energy which gets the better of him. Based on performances, I'll side with the finisher role for him. It doesn't give him enough time to ponder over multiple approaches and kick his senses into overdrive; but just enough to keep him engaged & stable.

Dhoni wasn't an average test player. As a wk, he is one of the best wk/bat in history.

no he wasnt. he sucks donkey balls vs bounce. pant already is way ahead of him. i cant rate any batsman who is weak vs pace and bounce.

i can forgive failure vs swing but not pace and bounce.

he was poor vs aussies and saffers. 2 of the toughest teams to tour away apart from india ofcourse.

he only scored some runs on flattest wickets of kiwi land and england when it was a flat pitch era.

No matter what his career was what his career will be he already attained a cult status in Nidahas Trophy. Highest viewed cricket video on youtube is still that video 20th over 2nd highest 19th over i think lol People watch that video like  a ritual. Today after this innings the count increased again.

DK is technically more sound. But a scatter brain. Dhoni had limited technique. But one of the most calculative batsman ever to have played.  He maximized his potential more than any player. If Dhoni were mentally weak his career would have been a non-starter.

Statement 1 - CURRENT INDIAN YOUNG PLAYERS ARE BETTER THAN AUSSIES OF THE NOUGHTIES.

Statement 2 - Should we bring back a 37 year retired TTF bcoz we don't have no finisher.

Icf brain trust strikes again.

The answer is no, IPL is a 2 kaudi ka competition where no one apart from Indian gives a * and the standards are too low.

We all saw what happened to IPL superstars vs Pak.

Yes yes noughti3s Aussies are the best ever. They never played in a weak era. They totally played with drs rules, advanced tech for analysing players game etc. Umpiring was always unbiased. Sledging was not tolerated. Matchh fixing and stuff never happened.

Naughties are the best ever. Best of the best. All time greatest.

This India team of young ins can't hold their jock strap.

They played tough cricket back then. Now it's wuss cricket.

Advanced tech and drs works both ways.

Please use your brain.

Obviously the Indjan talent is no way near when we want A 37 year old DK to come back from retirement.

The same DK won't get  into the squad of NSW team of the noughties let alone Australia.

Yes absolutely. Kohli fans sure know about how to use their brain. Thanks for your input.

Difference is India was backwards at the time. Aussies were already ahead in terms of tech. Now even playing field. Samja? Actually don't worry. I forgot. Kohli fans.

Talking about tests or t20?

Problem with having DK in Indian T20 team is who you drop and then who is your all rounder?

In T20s, you need 6 bowling options. Hardik and Jadeja are there currently at 6 and 7 and backups are V Iyer and Axar/Sundar. So, if you pick DK at 6 or 7, how you figure the sixth bowling option?

DK was never good enough, prone to soft dismissals, lacked temperament, struggled against leg spin. Averaged below 30 in odis after 60 games, hit and miss player. From 2008 to 2010 he had many chances batting at the top order with gambhir, there was a mark difference between the both, one would put a big price on his wicket and the other one would hit a few fancy strokes and then get out, a bit of movement and some dot balls would eventually get DK out, good on him to carry slogging it out in domestic but bar a few good t20 innings late down the order he has been a huge failure.

Dhoni was far better test batsman than he is given credit for, He would be among top 3 wk test batsmen of all time.DK is not even close to Dhoni as test batsman. In odis it is not even a contest.

It is only t20s where DK could have been  better option as a finisher.

LOL at people comparing DK to ABDV.

Dhongi oh you mean Dhoni? Yea I heard he was famous for 9 0 losses in tests. Brilliant player in tests indeed.

some Dhoni fans will continue to maintain he is better than Pant in Tests. not much point in arguing with them.
