Looks like Kulcha is about to make a return

Yes. As much as i made fun of Chahal, he looks the part. Bowled tough overs. I always liked Kuldeep. Even in T20 he is the one guy who can completely bamboozle a batsman when try to defend.

Kuldeep's issue is only mental.

I prefer Deepak chahar. But he must prove against after injury. Cannot walk straight in to the side. We all know how injuries affect performances of bowlers immensely.

He has to be our no. 7 or else it'll be Harshal or Thakur

Indian batting will suck. It doesn't matter if we have longer tail or not. India can dream making knockout only through bowling not batting. Our tail cannot cover failure of our mental midgets/ out of form players up the order. You nkow they will play.

even more important to have good 5-7. Otherwise even best bowling can't defend 140-150 type scores

It is going to be tricky balancing. It will be a gamble one way or the other.  We could end up using half baked "all rounders" and suck in both departments or go with bowler strong unit and put up an under par score. These are the only 2 options. India can do all the want they cannot come up with a strong batting unit. If they attempt it it will be having one of the worst bowlnig unit.

We have many batting options. Just gotta look at form more than reputation.

I hope we chase too. Last time we ended up batting first both time.

Aussie pitches are known to be super patta though

As of now:

1 All-phase AR (Pandya)

1 Death bowler (Nattu / Arshdeep / Bhuvi)

1 Middle/Death spinner (Chahal / Kuldeep / Bishnoi)

1 PP Strike bowler (Umesh / Shami / Avesh)

1 Middle-phase enforcer (Bumrah/Umraan)

Assuming that we'd have to carry the dead weight of Rohit and Kohli, I'd focus on strengthening my 4-7 positions.

Here's my Playing XI as of now:

Rohit

Pant

Kohli

Pandya

XXX (unsure)

SKY

DK (wk)

1 Death bowler (Nattu / Arshdeep / Bhuvi)

1 Middle/Death spinner (Chahal / Kuldeep / Bishnoi)

1 PP Strike bowler (Umesh / Shami / Avesh)

1 Middle-phase enforcer (Bumrah/Umraan)

yea but that theory works if u have depth like england team where apart from wood n mills everyone can bat , here it wont be the same situation specially when ur 2 main batsman are out of form
