Answering a few question that many of you may have:

Can DC finish in the top 2?

Yes. First it has to hope that both RR & LSG lose their final game against CSK & KKR respectively. Second, it would need to beat MI by around 13 runs or chase the total to cover those through NRR if batting 2nd.

That's a good possibility too because 13 runs is again assuming LSG and RR lose both their matches in final ball of the match. Delhi's NRR is +0.25, LSG +0.26 and RR +0.30.

Yes, the actual margin depends upon the losses of other teams. There may be a scenario where by getting to 8 wins DC gets to #2 as its NRR would automatically improve, while the other two's automatically deteriorate depending on the nature of loss.

In a long tournament esp. involving round robin games, there can be a last minute "drama" because the form & conditions can change.

Here there are two major scenarios for a drama - a) DC finishes in top 2 (since most expect either RR or LSG to be at #2), and b) KKR ( or such a team) qualifies (DC or RCB qualifying at 3-4 is not a drama anymore)

I expect to see some form of "drama" engineered by the BCCI

What about while chasing?

It depends upon the total being set. If it is 180, SRH would need to chase it in 11-13 overs

If DC, along w/ RCB, loses by a big margin, the equation would be different
