What I have seen among Indians is that ... the moment they are 6'4"+, they rarely bowl at even Fast-medium pace.  They are usually very medium pace like Prasad, Kuruvills etc.

Ishant is probably the only 6'5" guy in India who could bowl 140 k+. Which is why we hung on to him like a drowning man clutches at straws. But it was ignored that he did not get bounce like a really tall pacer.

We have been tracking a bunch of U19 guys who are 6'5" to 6'6" ... and all are slow.

So, till we find a sharp 6'6" pacer who gets steep bounce .... our best choices are Prasidh and Khaleel.

yes, we should get both into team pronto. with all the buzz around mohsin, dayal, mukesh, arshdeep, I think Khaleel should be getting more credit. bowling very well this IPL.

One encouraging thing we are seeing this year is that  ....

Among the 8 new 145 k+ or 140 k+  pacers we have now, 7 are 6'2" to  6'4" and 1 is short but bowls 150 k+.

1. Prasidh

2. Tyagi

3. Sen

4. Khaleel

5. Avesh

6. Mohsin

7. Dayal

All are 6'2" to 6'4".and quick or sharp.

a pity that some in the list did not get proper backing - like tyagi and sen. both should have played more games

I think the likelihood of someone over 6'3"  bowling military medium but getting steep bounce like Holder or Jamieson is higher than them bowling at 140kph and getting the same bounce. It's harder to sustain those speeds at that  height and size.

That's true.

It's not like current giants are fast at all. Jamieson is a trundler. 128-136 Max

Maybe top of 140

Jansen is quickest but he does trundle here and there too. 130-140

Even in thr past mcgrath 6'5 6'6 bowled 127-135 for most part of his life post 1999.

Ambrose barely bowled over 140. He bowls 130-135.

Bishop was quicker though.

Walsh was the same as Ambrose.

walsh was slower than ambrose, and roughly on par with garner. they did operate in mid 130s except when they got old. ambrose was high 130s to low 140s at his peak. and bishop was even quicker. one does not need to trundle to achieve steep bounce - prasidh is also demonstrating this

That's true. But with good bounce you don't need fast pace. Even medium fast is enough. Fast medium is perfect. Express won't hurt but it would hurt your back.

Divyanshu Singh from Mumbai is the fastest u19 pacer at 6 foot 6 inch. Has a strong action.

SRH, please take next season seriously. You’re at 10 points this season. You can land a long overdue body low to your “traditional” rival and usual tormentor. Remember, they never gave you the repeat you deserve. It’s only the MI which has always treated you with respect.

So let’s join hands :shakehands: and work on that mission for a “desirable & satisfying” outcome… :secret:

Fastest U19 pacer compared to the other tall pacers or all current U19 pacers ?

Looks sharp in the video below.

Compared to other tall pacers at least. Rest we will only know when he plays under speed gun.

Three giants from current u19 setup. From the left Ansh Patel, Divyanshu and Prince. All three have potential.

ansh (if that is the right one) seems to have a good build, while the other two are very skinny - need to put on more muscle
