Tuk Tuk’s avg is 19 & SR of 120

Kong’s avg is 24 & SR 117

^ And these two tend to perform like this season after season, while occupying their preferred spots where they don’t even have to adjust per the situation (as it is 0/0). Others have to depending upon how many balls they waste and when they get out

tuk tuk forever. as CS lewis wrote, "once a tuk tuk king or queen of narnia, always a tuk tuk king or queen of narnia"

We need a Livingstone type bat in the middle.

In terms of Intent - our best get bit by dhoni bug , thats taking the game till right very end. Dhoni is the hero so they follow him forgetting that he himself blew away so many games with that approach. Players start to follow to their heroes forgetting their own natural game in subcontinent. Everyone is fine till they start to think that they are the best batsman of the team and they have to win it by their own. We need a coach or Team director who can actually tell everyone to hell with dhoni's theories like Gambo.

In terms of ability - I havent seen bat speed like of Livingstone before. We need to send our players to play in atleast 2 leagues around the world during non domestic season. Livingstone has played in BBL, T10, PSL and worked on his game over the years. Even guys like Roy and miller have ironed out their spin issues now. They will make our players do the aggresor role their as we do with foreign players here and they will develop a better skillset. Had we done the same with Yusuf (he wud have improved his range), Uthappa, DK (wud have found out earlier about his finishing). Guys like KL, Pant have no time but Tripathi, sky, harshal and many others can be sent.

TBH i dnt expect this dhoni virus going down for atleast 5 yrs. This is Dravid biggest challenge to get guys like KL n Pant to their best version which they showed in earlier part of their career

Rahul has higher SR than pandya with 30 sixes while pandya 11 sixes.

SR depends upon a variety of factors including batting positions, situation, and conditions (teams don’t even bat on same pitches at same venues). The longer you bat, it allows you to make up SR.

SR discussions are usually for those who bat in the top 3 (set the tone, start in PP, have more balls to bat to get set & make up SR) as the middle order (#4-7) is usually adjusting to the situation as if you are in early, you have to consolidate, if you are in late, you may have to go hard early (increasing your chances of having a lower strike rate as if you play a couple of balls and go for a 6 on 3rd ball and get caught, your SR would be less than 100). In the middle order, a DK (DK did well at venues like Wankhede) has a higher SR than a Miller or a Tewatia but all 3 have done well when judged based on how they played per the situation. Pant on the other hand despite a good SR (152) has not played per situation on many occasions, failing to close games too.

In case of KL (SR 135), his SR is influenced by knocks against teams like MI (and when batting first). Against KKR, he batted with QdK, who hit a 140*, to end up with a decent SR when he could have pushed for more with wickets in hand (a game that his team won on the last ball). In the eliminator, his inning can be questioned too.

Top openers like Warner, who too start at 0/0 in PP, go at a SR of around 150. Talking about QdK, his SR is 149 , while Stoinis' is 147. But one batsman has had an opportunity to play in PP at 0/0 and build his innings, while the other had to play in a variety of situations, including having to come in and go from ball 1, and positions. Top order (#1-3) batsmen are relatively easier to judge based on SR, while middle order batsmen based on situation (SR discussions come in if they are not playing per situation or have been poor in general).
