Another thing is

How old are these superstars? Akki and Aamir are 50+.

The median age of india is 28-29.

At what point do they stop representing the median? Both are fit for their age but that age delta is simply going to increase. Bachchan went through same issue in 90s. Was too old to be cast as a hero. Moved into support role as main cast and it worked.

If you exclude Kashmir files, most hits of bollywood are skewed post covid towards younger heros (40 and under).

There are a bunch of people who made their debuts in late 80s to early 90s who need to call quits.

Lol on calling them quit. SRk is coming with a movie named Jawan. He will play the title role at the age of 57.

Forrest Gump is considered one of the greatest conservative movies of all time, you find it in pretty much every such list and it's depiction of every side in the movie from the American Exceptionalist adhering patriots to the acid smoking flower children hippie/ pacifist commie/black supremacist civil rights movement is quite balanced and neutral. The main character despite being a half wit is always shown as staunchly religious due to his upbringing with Christian themes being enshrined in it throught and finds redemption while his opposite number who is also his childhood sweetheart turns into an off-the-rails nihilist who suffers throught the movie. If you wanted to do a 1:1 remake why not consider that instead of this vacuous and outdated Ganga jamuni ******ry with a cookie cutter uninspiring atheist protagonist that even these guys cannot be so out of touch to think will wash with the general public any longer.

It was also a counter to American policy of funding manpower for unnecessary wars. Against Project 100,000 or McNamara’s folly. They started recruiting low IQ, low income  people to be slaughtered in initial advances in wars.

Indian Army never had such policies and they recruit able-bodied men and metric pass with 45% marks.

Booked ticket of kartikeya 2 for janamasthami, man Film getting very good response from public

Bollywood has been making poor films for some time now. A bit surprised there used to few new no name directors doing good movies but I no longer see it. Currently it is stale. South Indian movies on the other hand have been really good right from bahubali , KGF etc.  on topic liked the part one it was good.

They are closer to 60 than to 50! They should play age appropriate side role like elder brother or a middle aged maniac and stop trying to be the hero.

Sadly, despite having content that the audience likes, the movie makers couldn't play it on as many screens as they want because a big producer in Telugu who also controls all theaters in the state wouldnt allow them to. He told them to postpone the movie, which they did once. Again he told them to postpone a d this time, they went ahead with whatever limited screens they could get. This fellow wanted to produce Kartikeya Part 2 after seeing the success of Part 1 but was denied this chance. So he was upset and tried to crush the movie. But, despite all this, the movie has succeeded and is getting more screens. Power of content and audience's verdict has won for once. Hope to see more of these small movies succeed.

If movie is good People will come & watch...  Prashant Neel is no Nolan or Tarantino.   Tiger is a decent franchise under YRF the biggest banner in the country.   Bollywood needs a little course correction.   Sheer Talent wise no regional cinema can come closer to it.  If Bollywood wants it can roll out gems as well &, hopefully failure of LSC can knock some sense back into those co**suckers.

Sheer talent wise Bollywood doesn't hold a candle to regional cinema. Never has

True. Bollywood has no director except SLB who can pull off big canvas movies. Even Bhansali has his limitations and usually only makes period films.

Brahmastra is releasing next month but highly doubtful whether Ayan Mukerji can pull this off. Not giving good vibes, tbh.

See with brahmastra it will either be pioneer or be all time disaster,if its all time disaster rest assured it will destroy ranbir, kjo and ayan for ever, but if its blockbuster it will pave way for super hero genre
