We can't play a spinner in Aus unless he can bat or field well. Chahal is a liability in those conditions

The priority BCCI gives to T20I and its WCs, and repeated failures in the tournaments, i wont be surprised if BCCI pull support from T20I and focuses more on IPL

Some geniuses have only one thing to say if team does not do well. BCCI does not care about tests was slogan before now , it does not care about t20s. BCCI manages cricket, it cannot create talent.IPL has shown how India is woefully short of talented big hitters and finishers. Karthik is being summonned to  play finisher roler should say it all about the talent level.

Not sure what is the obsession with picking fat and unfit players who are also poor fielders in the team. We already have two fat players in the team and the other two that you argue about, I don't really think they stand much of a chance of doing well overseas against international team and not B team. When you watch them at IPL, they just don't look like they belong to international level especially overseas test matches.

Pant definitely doesn't deserve to be in T20 setup.

46 matches is a large sample size and to have a mediocre strike rate of 125 is a good enough indication.

First thing is to accept that India stinks with its current style of T20 and odi batting. Then change the attitude and approach towards the batting. Once that happens talented players will adapt .Rahul Dravid becoming coach after Shastri has not helped one bit in changing that attitude.
