In general, Eng knows how to beat SA at home. those SA turn into colonial whipping boys when they see eng. Yea definitely. We need to kick saffer asses like we do at home. We can beat them away. They are good but nothing special. We just need to get rid of this superstar mentality. Get rid of wastrel like kohli pujara etc. Have to be ruthless with selections. Vijy 1 Link to comment
putrevus
Saying England has ruthless agression is ridiculous. Yes they are good but let us pump the breaks about them being ruthless. This team would never fight adversity and they are pretty one dimensional team which will make merry on flat wickets but will crumble on wickets having some assistance to bowlers. They won the world cup also by sheer luck. Edited June 22, 2022 by putrevus Link to comment

What exactly has that resulted? If ruthlessness is in selections why is Morgan still there in the team.Only guys they got rid of are Alex Hales and Liam Plunkett. Hales was always going to be third wheel.Plunket was on already on his last legs. Most teams have given around same number of chances to new players. This is the same England who are still playing Anderson and Broad in test teams. Link to comment

So, if one of the primary bowlers (Carse, Willey, Rashid, Curran or Payne) is getting carted on a given day, one of the others can plug the hole a bit. India's #5 is Pandya who *can*, in theory, bowl, but that is a big risk. #6 is Dinesh Karthik because we need a finisher. #7 - 11 (Jadeja/Axar, Avesh, BK, Harshal, Bumrah) are the 5 primary bowlers and among them maybe one (Jadeja/Axar) is a decent LOI bat. All I can hope for is that we play the Pommies in the 2022WCT20 final, the Poms have a terrible day, and our guys are inspired to play their best cricket ever, and somehow crush them. Like 9 times out of 10, they will win, but when it really matters, our guys will somehow pull it off. a abnormally slowish pitch can help us Link to comment

I agree with you that they have lot of bowlers who can be very handy with bat. They have like 6-7 bowlers in any given match.Guys like Stokes, Ali can bat very well and win matches on their with bat or ball. They also have some big strikers. Can we attribute all these to Morgan? If Morgan is responsible for change in attitude for all these players then he is a genius. We did not see that reflect in IPL though maybe he did not get enough time to put his stamp in IPL. We are playing three wicket keepers how can we expect to have a balance. Our bowlers cannot bat and batsmen cannot bowl. This has been the story for last decade. Link to comment
