crictime Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Very crucial to stay fit in all aspects as a sportsman. Had too much weight for his short height and indeed needed to shred a lot of it to be able to move fast across while fielding, gain more flexibility and agility. Dynamics at domestic level are quite different than they are at the international level. Good that he realized this after playing just a handful of tests. He is a down to earth guy...thus far. Was made fun of his weight "kitna mota ho gaya hai" and he replied ke "kam kar raha hu"
tweaker Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Sarfaraz should play better in India A to be considered again for team India
putrevus Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I still don't understand how has Karun Nair over taken Sarfraz in pecking order.

It is very unfair for what is happening to this guy.Gambhir is an idiot along with Agarkar. Give the guy a chance to prove himself, if he fails drop him.But dropping him without any reason is ridiculous. tweaker, Lord and Gollum 3

Paddikal has decent perfomance in Australia, why is he dropped. putrevus 1
Reddygaaru Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Sarfraz is a flat track bully. I dont know if it is entirely true but it is the perception. I definitely do think that he will flop against the seaming ball in England

It's upto Gambhir whether he wants to give him another chance. Don't know why poster after poster keeps asking abt Sarfaraz while not knowing about this. Edited June 4 by rollingstoned Gollum 1

KP leaked dressing room secrets to RSA players in 2012 Eng-RSA test series, huge controversy back then. Then won them a historic series in India 3-4 months later. Short term punishment to Sarfraz is ok but can't hold a permanent grudge. Indian media itself is down the gutters. Edited June 4 by Gollum BacktoCricaddict 1

Well then it is Sarfaraz's problem that he doesn't have the kind of clout KP did back then and still did it. He was picked for the a tour so let's see.

I had enough of this bozo Gambhir, let him win anything on his own rather than taking credit of what seniors spoon fed him CT win. Under his watch India got swept at home. Coach is never bigger than the players.Gambhir needs to understand that fact first.

Yours truly, Gauti Bhai Gambhir talks lot of nonsense filled with jingoism , let him deliver once for a change. I have not seen anything from him as far as strategy or creating a coaching philosophy. He needs to understand Jingoism doesn't win test matches. There is no place to hide in test cricket as Dhoni found out during 1-13.Gauti was part of those shameless teams that did not even compete in majority of those tests. Edited June 5 by putrevus
tweaker Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Sarfaraz Khan continued his strong form in England with a blazing century for India A against the main Indian Test squad. He was eventually retired out to allow others to bat. Lord 1
putrevus Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I really hope they ask this guy to stay back in England. I want him to get a chance to play in series where he is just penciled in at number 5.Let him sink or swim on his own. tweaker 1

Has the pitch flattened or bowlers are flat ? Just shows that our lower order is as good (or as bad) as our main batters. That's what we've seen the last few years and the trend is continuing.
