Mumbai need Sarfaraz to find form after his recovery from injury. Just 3 innings thus far, but he has not made these count yet against easy opponents like J&K and Chhattisgarh.

Svire those big Ranji runs, play full county season and score tons of runs. He is 28 not 32-33. One run heavy season will do it for him again especially with his improved fitness

It does not matter what he scored in Ranjis, Jurel scored 100s in each innings plus 100 against WI, what did he do aganst better bowling attack.

Sarfaraz has a 150 and 3 50s in the 6 tests he has played. He was then dumped out of the team and excluded even from the A teams - clearly because for some reason GG dislikes him.

When bozos like Sundar , Sai and  Nair can play as batsman and bat at Number 3, can't Sarfraz play at number 3. 

 

This idiot GG played Jurel over Sarfraz in Australia too. Then he kicked him out of the squad then they kicked him out of the Indian A side too effectively killing his career.

 

Let him fail but given his record plus he scored 150 when no one reached even 75.He proved he belongs in test cricket.

I always liked him, you don't score that many runs by accident, He should have played in Australia too  in place of Padikal or Jurel. Moronic Agarkar denied him a place in England tour, he should have been first name among new comers to get a fixed spot after Kohli and Rohit left.

What is your problem with Sundar man?

 

He was the best batsman apart from Bavuma this test. Not just the runs but the manner in which he played, total control. 

 

Brilliant finish in Oval test.

 

Match saving 100 in Manchester.

 

Matchwinning 96 in Ahmedabad in 2021.

 

Clutch in Gabba (62+25). Even in the latest BGT, had a good 50 and big partnership with Reddy.

 

He has made important contributions with the bat in half his test appearances. Even in rank turners against NZ last year, he batted much much better than Sarfaraz, averaged 45 in that series.

Washington has 1 test 100, could have got two more but got stranded because of his batting position (85* vs Eng in Chennai and 96* in Ahmedabad). Least of our problems, he has no glaring weakness.

I don’t have any problem with any player . I just don’t think he is good as some people are making him  into, he is classic bits and pieces player.

After Ashwin he has place to play as a bowler and at number 6 or 7.If his bowling stinks he doesn’t have place in the team. It is that simple  

 

Thakur scored vital runs in that Gabba and oval plus he had some wonderful bowling performances too. He was rightly kicked out once his bowling didn’t do justice.

 

 In no world he is fit to be number 3.

They are using him very poorly. That he's still doing good enough is his quality
