The misconception about Vidarbha being poor comes from the fact that it is the only region that is demanding a separate state. Like JKHD/Telengana , a separate state demand comes because that region is alleged to be ignored by the mainstream politics of the state.

Not close to the ground anymore. But I think Fadnavis can pull this off. He is sharp, hungry and ruthless. He must have been hurt with lok sabha results. Question is how far will he go. I think they will go to any level appeasement and handouts to win this time. They known muslim vote has 100% consolidated with mva.

This time around, UT will get a lot of Muslim votes, especially in those constituencies where the Congress doesn’t field a candidate. Just like he cornered all the Hindu votes the last time in constituencies where there was an agreement with the BJP and the latter didn’t field a candidate. Last time he cheated his Hindu voter base by joining the MVA. This time I have a sneaking feeling that he will cheat his new found Muslim voters by joining a post election alliance with BJP + Raj + Shinde.

As I was saying

Everything about this tweet is sad and most of it is true. That makes it even worse.

Sad that we are still so stuck up on identity politics in Maharashtra.

I read a tweet about 800 people losing lives falling off suburban railway this year. That is not a topic of discussion.

S-GST to be increased on Luxury cars, even those manufactured in the state. Thats is not discussed.

Air quality being poor Al of October and predictably same situation in November, because the builder lobby has successfully managed to increase the ppm limit of acceptable toxicity in the atmosphere. Further amendments mean that these cases now have to be fought in RERA courts.

Maharashtra needs serious reforms if it needs to compete with Gujarat or Karnataka as manufacturing hub. Instead we have each party out do the other in terms of freebies that they hand out.

Its going to go this way. It had to. Once opposition United and achieved 100% unconditional consolidation of muslim votes and tried to break hindu votes by caste, BJP has no choices as political party but to try and consolidate Hindu votes by rally "Batengey toh katengey".

Until and unless we find a moderate muslim leader ( independent or bjp ) who is supported by the community on perfomance, this is inevitable.

Defeated on the development mudda  in GE and having tasted success in Haryana on the "Batengey toh katengey" mudda, of course BJP will run this strategy. People who are crying, why didn't hey say in GE that development of Muslims was good for them to vote for BJP. Tab RaGa is the chieftan of the clan running Jaati Jaati jap was the answer to BJP/Modi, Vote Jihad was and is a reality and BJP has realized that now by trying to consolidate the Hindu vote. This identity politics is a reality and we have to go on with it.

Shinde govt removed toll tax on non-commercial cars.

The metro rail that MVA and Bollywoodiyas were stalling on some randome environmental concern (Aarey mein ped katre bhai) is a good move.

People have to look at development initiatives by this MH  government beyod the identity politics that is done for survival or for satta.

Only solution  for the population issues in Mumbai (pollution, local train crowding  and deaths) can only be solved by moviing people and jobs out of Mumbai. No govt will solve this issue without India growing Tier-II cities in all states.

Viderbha has had policians who are cm multiple times now. Fadnavis was cm 2014 to 2019. He is like a super cm right now. Hard to justify that claim now.

So much rebillion in both fronts. Bjp cadre not ready to work for ajit candidates...cong cadre ditto re uddhav in viderbha and mumbai mmr.

This election will be decided by those who can control rebellion. Not much trust on ground between all political parties.

Impossibls for pollsters to prrdict.

Bjp contesting 148+ 4 (smaller parties on bjp symbol. 2 seats no mva candidate. 47 seats viderbha.

Congress 103. Bjp should be happy with this. 40 seats viderbha.
