SURYA!! Friends, this may or may not last, but right now, the guy is killing it. Not because of his body language, but because he is in immaculate form. And when he loses form in 2 - 3 years, we should thank him for his services, celebrate him for his achievements and sunset his place in the team unless he comes back with a vengeance. That is what T20 cricket is all about. If KLR was making these scores - body language be damned - we would be celebrating him. But, right now, he is on a down-cycle - happens to all. So, sit him so he can figure things out and come back stronger because one thing is for sure - the guy has all the batting talent in the world. It's really not that complicated, but we complicate it by considering being dropped from the National team as "bayzddi" (insult). When it lasts it gives great pleasure but there will be critical phases in a KO or SF matches where his such high risk shots will not come off and he will be accused of losing the match/ cup. those days are also not far away. Are fans ready to stomach that , better we do . We do not anyone in MO right now who has the ability he showcases . We need others to fire along with SKY. Vk1 Posted October 30, 2022 Share Posted October 30, 2022 SKY has 12 50+ scores so far.. he is in top 25 right now( in just 37 matches batting mostly at 4) but could jump to top 5 in next 2 years- that's his rate of conversion.. in a list dominated by openers/top 3, he would be the only one from nbr 4.. if he can somehow play couple of match winning knocks in semis and finals he would definitely become the GOAT Mosher and SRT100 1 1 Link to comment

It came under immense pressure knowing that there is no one to score anything. He scored at 170 SR when the next best was 128 by Miller who was aided by Markaram. Our batsmen shat on his innings and our fielders shat on the bowlers. He will score 50's for fun but the others need to step up. If he fails, that's ok. KL and other idiots need to perform too. He tried ramp shot and failed against Pakistan. What we are missing is 1-2 batsmen more like him who can keep the scoreboard ticking. Batters like SKY we don't have many, who can maneuver the field as per the wish, as this is a high risk high reward game, the IPL statpadders don't feel comfortable with it. Pant was one, but he has toned himself down now after going through criticisms day in and day out. Prithvi Shaw is another one, but with his issues against moving ball he will be tagged as a flat track bully by our cricket experts after couple of failures.
