Also we have won last 2 editions. 

2016 was T20 format and 2018 was 50 overs.

Will be no good for the tournament if we just keep winning.

I still feel SKY is a very decent player but the hype over IPL achievements for any player need to stop.

The credit also has to go to SL bowlers, they might not be household names but they bowled to plan. SL always does well in these tournaments.

Regarding SL bowlers, what u are suggesting could be true.  We will find out more when they clash against Pak shortly.    Coming to SKY, I think there is something fishy somewhere.     I dont remember any potential LOI batsman making his intl debut at the age of 31.   This begs the question:  what was SKY doing at the age of 20-30 when ur reflexes are supposed to be at an all time high.    If he is a genuinely talented batsman, why didnt he debut earlier?

There is some luck involved also and IPL. IPL has turned a guy Rahul who was deemed test specialist into IPL super star. I feel just like Rahul, SKY's transformation to t20s has taken some time. 

 

This hype as national treasure and all that is bit too much.SKY IMO is still very good but people need to calm down on his hype much similar to hype around a guy like Pandya.Both are good t20 players but hype around them is bit too much.
