Most of these leagues, especially in the middle east are there for fixing purposes. Nobody cares who wins or loses as long as fixing goes according to plan.

Yeah initially thought it has only fringe or retired players but guys like Buttler, Hales,Rashid, Livi are part of it. That's concerning.

They only care about paychecks. And who can blame them? They show up for a few days and earn hundreds of thousands of pounds. It'll take them months, or even years, of grinding to earn that much in domestic cricket.

 

They've to look out for themselves as sporting careers are quite short and most of these guys are already in 30s and don't have more than a handful of years at the top. Make the most of it now before the inevitable decline.

yeah but they must be involved in fixing in some way too. that is not good

I doubt they even know the teams they're playing for. It's up to ICC to regulate all these leagues springing up. They need to ensure ICC affiliated cricketers don't take part in unsanctioned leagues.
