Arshdeep looks like a guy from the 90s who's going to get taken for a 20 run over, but somehow manages to execute well over and over.  Good for him.

Lol why are you hating on the guy? He has been doing same thing in the IPL where he hardly gives it away.

I couldnt see this match..following from cricinfo..

Why Boobie didnt bowl further..is it just to give experience to Avesh..so far he is not looked like thenone for the future..Arshdeep seems to have bowled well..

Wasnt expecting team to make a match out of this..could hv won..if Avesh didnt bowl badly

in his last few matches..the way Siraj has bowled..he is better than Avesh..even Arshdeep is continues to impress..even though he doesnt have that pace..

if he develops some in swing for opening overs..he can be good for us..with his death bowling and control..

better to end this experiment of Avesh and Iyer in T20s..we are not making any progress with them..

Good win for WI. But why Rohit? what's with the choice of Avesh to defend 10 runs... Cocky decision, didn't work out

Good decision.  Some guys step up under pressure, some don't.  Others mess up but come back stronger and learn.

Do you remember Bumrah in his early career dropping a dolly catch in an India game?  And looked upset and nervous after that.  Found it in himself to regain composure.  Look where he is today.  Either Avesh learns from this or fades away.  Either way, I'm happy with the decision and don't care about random bilateral games.

Very happy to see that Rohit didn't give Bhuvi the chance to "win" this meaningless game and gave the opportunity to Avesh.

Poor Captaincy as well... Avesh in not any universe will bowl a final over.  Experimentation bhi specialist se ki jaati hai...

You can't be selected as a specialist pace bowler if you can't bowl in all phases.  powerplay, death and others.  There's no "sub-specialist" within pace bowlers.  No luxury for carrying a liability like that in a T20 XI where you are going to have 2 frontline pacers.  They have to be able to bowl death overs under pressure.

How easily folks forget that Siraj struggled and bowled quite poorly in his early white ball games.

Players need game time to develop, especially at the top level.  If you don't have patience with young players with these meaningless practice games against teams like West Indies, you don't deserve a champion team to support - you simply don't know how to.

But do we play to win or play to practice? Even if you want to try, you ought to get some surprise element like Hardik against BD in t20 WC 2016. Like bowling Jadeja or Ashwin like Azhar bowled Tendulkar in 94 Hero cup final against WI. Avesh was a rank bad bowler this match to make him learn how to bowl at death.

Glad Rohit tried out Avesh instead of bowling Bhuvi.

We don't want to come to a crunch situation in a  knockout and then realise Avesh can't handle death over bowling (at least for now).

We have won the series, no qualms in losing this one.

I have never liked Avesh bowling..and dont thiink he could be one of the good bowlers for India..Though I will be happy if he proves me wrong and comes back as a great bowler..as we all want team to do well eventually..Siraj has done poorly in white ball..true..but did well in last few matches..showed some movement initial few overs..even good yorkers too..in the end..Siraj is not the best choice..but he is better than Avesh..

we have to be careful on how much time we are investing on players..as we have many..and dont have enough time left..

I am very much hopeful..in a season or two..Mohsin Khan can come up in pecking order too..as compared to him..
