Looks like ICF experts have already started crapping.....Their attack is just like any other attack other than Afridi no other good bowler . But Indian batter has habit of giving wkts in bulk to Topley and McCoy. Otherwise if we see off initial pp they can make merry of this attack like aus, sa and many others have done.

Chakravarthy got the blame but shami and bumrah were pathetic, after 8 overs Pakistan were around 52-53 I think, both Varun and jaddu kept some pressure on them and slowed down the scoring just that the seamers were useless and created zero pressure.

So the question is - how to play Afridi this time? Bcoz very sure he will pitch it up and target the pads of Rohit Sharma again.

 

How to survive his 1st spell? 

 

Few things they can do:

1. Stand 2 meter outside the crease to negate the in dipper

2. Look to defend his spell and play him out (approach we took against Amir in 2019 WC). I know its T20 and 2 over matters a lot but it is better than being 6/2.

3. Start the innings with a left handed batsman

Bowling heavy balance. The variety in the bowling attack is something they manage for every white ball tournament. 

 

They will be hard to beat for any team. I'd still back the team that chases to win in Dubai though. 

 

Hopefully, we can put up a better performance than the tripe we put up in the UAE in the last WT20

180+ they are already in pressure , keep it tight which isnt tough with babar-rizwan 

 

Keep them behind RR till last 5 overs and then against likes of bhuvi-bumrah-arsh/harshal it wont be easy in death

Guys like Khushdil will have problem against hardik short stuff in middle order

In dew ghanta swing milegi...  Bhuvi will be better than his last WT20 spell but expecting magic deliveries from him in UAE is bit too much.  UAE in fact completely nullifies his skill set.

wo dew to shaheen ke liye bi hoga aur dew purani baal pe asar karta hai naya fir bhi swing hota hai 

UAE nullifies chahar skill set coz he can only swing, bhuvi can seam the ball too. Conditions can be watever new kookabura always will swing under lights it just differentiate in terms of how long will it in different conditions. Swing or turns mostly gets nullified on pitches like Sydney where ball from pitch comes so easy that batsman get enough time

But you see..Bhuvi at 7 is very long tail..if we have 5 devastatating bowlers..its easy to just pick batting till 6..D Chahar is better at 7 if he plays..

thats the issue we have..in bolwing Pandya is a good 6th bowling option in current form..but we dont. have any bowler who can bat well..may be DC only

Pdosi may have  shadab at 7,nawaz at 8--very capable with bat..

Also this is a myth that his skill set needs conditions in t20- he is an all condition all phase bowler 

In ODI he is just defensive

In test he needs condition but that to post 2015 had more condition in his wings as his pace picked up and he started getting wkts with seam and not just swing
